Notice the feet down? when someone can't ride a bicycle or motorcycle and loses directional control the typical repsponse is to deploy their feet, forget the brakes, and target fixate on the perceived threat, striking it... I spent 10 years training motorcycle cops, this is what the "fails" looked like.

@thegameguy98 sadly, both. Not really the rider's fault tho'. We call it a "helmet lock" where you just freeze up. The ground looked wet. As an experienced rider I have done this when on wet pavement, I just froze, then splat, into the haybales... Because of my experience mine was 100% fail.

@aunshi190 You probably don't care, but because he was one of the team leaders, a few of his team mates would have waited for him, so that they could work together to get back into the race (all slipstream off each other). There are not enough race drivers in a team for them to work together and it doesn't really make sense to, but in cycling (which is a team sport at pro level) it does.
