Oh, yeah?? I once passed Nick Lowe in NYC on 23rd st. just walkin around. I would have known him anywhere. I remember racing slow through the crowd singing some Billy Joel song to myself at the time. I forget which one. Brush with greatness. New York is great for bumping into celebrity type people sometimes.
He's definitely tall - I'm 5'11" and was wearing heels and we were at least the same height. He's extremely soft-spoken, very charming and very handsome. His hair is completely silver; I've met him 3 times now and the 2nd & 3rd time he remembered me for my hair, because it's silver, too!
His manager/producer - Neil Brockbank - is extremely nice as well. I also got to meet Geraint Watkins and Graham Parker...again, very very pleasant men.

@michelerenewilliams His eyes were probably the bluest I've ever seen -- very stunning. How tall? Not sure - I'm 5'4" and was looking up! He was very kind and gracious to everyone receiving autographs. Quite witty, as I expected, and he had quite a few laughs with most of the people he met. His staff was equally as friendly, and very gracious as well. I have to say, I was star struck. He signed a drawing I did of him back in 1981. Very cool.
Nick The Knife strikes again with his cowboy outfit, rockin' on like a big dog in ragin' eyed heat! I love the music Nick Lowe made in the 80's with and without Rockpile! As always, thanks to: You Tube For the SPACE, mbroders for the upload, and God Save Nick Lowe!
He produced Elvis Costello's best work, but over the years I have come to appreciate him more. More direct and sincere, in his own extremely literate way. He's sneaking some of the pop and roots music ever made into the world. Once you are exposed to his peculiar set of tangents and concerns, you'll never be the same.
Nick Lowe`s a class act. Saw him numerous times in the 80`s. Good old fashioned pop tunes and cleverly crafted ballads. Had several hits as far as I can remember....

Kudos to Dick Clark for having both Nick Lowe, and his earlier band, Rockpile on American Bandstand...........

Martin Belmont is a really frightening looking fellow. Looks as if he just ate one roadie, is about to eat his guitar and some of band members.

He also deserves a post with no typos! Meant to say "He's sneaking some of the BEST pop and roots music ever made into the world"

I love this song. A version of "Ragin' Eyes" can be heard during the film "Lipstick and Dynamite".
