i agree that he should had been sent to prison for life than that, at least Allah would had took sadam's life when he wanted. i also heard that his family was killed too, is it true and why? if true i think its coz they didnt want any of his family member to take after him.
people that dont believe in Allah will find out when they die and that will be to late for them to change their mind. Islam says even if the unbeliever (who's not muslim) was on his last moment and he converts every sin will be forgiven and granted heaven. im blessd by Allah to be a muslim from birth, if i wasn't il be in hell forever. at least muslim's who done bad will first recive their punishment and then set free to heaven if Allah wishes. Allah is most merciful, most kind and the almighty!
see, this is the sad difference between islam and christianity/various other religions. With Islam, they believe that only they are holy/worthy, and that the only way to be forgiven and whatnot is to convert to them, it's worse than even the hovie jovies or mormons. In the eyes of God, everyone is viewed as equal and loved, no matter what they choose to believe in.
