@BigSCTVfan2 Thats true, mabey if they brought back the firebird around the same time as the camaro their stock would have sky rocket and attract many happy buyers.
I use to love these commercials when I was a little kid back then. I forgot all about them until coming across this video. Thanks for uploading and bringing back memories for me.
Hopefully Pontiac and Michael Jackson are happilly in peace together nowadays. I used to LOVE all things '80s, now I simply cry when I see something realizing that they just don't make things like that anymore.
WOW! WHAT the hell happend to our country- If as if someone pulled the plug on us! Women loved Men and we had an excellent soundtrack to it all. Then enter the 1990's and welcome to Yo MTV Rap and the decline of Americana.
@rezek71 Yes, it seems like another world doesn't it? Yeah, by the mid 90s the music went to cRap and girls began to dress and look like crap. It's just one big crap fest today. For me the 80s were last worthwile decade. The very early 90s weren't too bad but only because they were still a carry over from the late 80s. However once the 90s came into their own it became one living hell of ugliness.
@rezek71 Couldn't agree with you more. We thought the rap hiphop culture would go the same way as disco, but unfortunately not. America's not what it used to be.
People talk about how cheesy the '80s were, but they're more likely to remember the jingles and the music from the cheesy '80s than they are likely to remember anything from now.
I remember this one too. Man, seeing it now I don't how it could get anymore 80s than it is. Love the girl in white. That was when women still wore decent looking dresses and shoes and not the unfeminine crap of today.
Such a sad fate for the company. Forced to sell badge-engineered Chevy people carriers and that horribly ugly (but very well equipped) Aztek, by the time Pontiac finally got a car worthy of the name in the G8 GT and GXP, it was dead-man walking.
I wanna know which ad executive looked at the 87 Bonneville and decided it should be in this commercial with this music. I mean, the Bonneville doesn't even look like a car. It looks like a box festooned with other boxes with the wheels from a lawnmower stuck to the bottom of it.
I love those commercials,Even the Firebird its my favorit Pontiac car,I have a feeling with the new 09 Camero ready to hit the dealerships soon i sense a Fifth generation Trans Am concept.
If they kept making car commercials like this, GM wouldn't have needed a government bailout.

I know late-1980s cars like these get a lot of mocking in the press these days, but compared to what Chevrolet and Ford now make, they look lovely.
