When I was 4 and would play this game non stop I'd always get stuck on the mall level and yell for my dad or older brother to come and help me one of 'em would come over and beat it and everytime they'd beat it, My mom would tell me to get off a while later and I'd always forget to save. The next day the routine started over until I finally remembered to save it. xD Amazing memories of this game.

Played Tony Hawk Pro Skater from 2000-2002 on my PlayStation1. Heard the song 'Superman' in 2010, and instantly recognised it from the game - bringing back great memories. Awesome game, Awesome song!

@ndgh209 I will have to admit that the PS1 version of the game is superior, I just can't figure out the PSX emulator to save my life. As for saved games, I use save states. Look those up. For the controls, A and B are only used on the confirmation screens, and the important controls are mapped to the C-buttons as so:

up = grind/lip

left = flip trick

right = grab trick

down = Ollie/hold to go faster

From the room you start in:

You go down the right ramp, do a backflip thru the room above the half pipe, and land in a grind.

Then trick around the map, go back up the ramp and repeat. I used to be able to do it PERFECT.

I believe they are all mapped to the C-buttons. Like, take the controls for either the PS or Xbox versions of the games and map them directly onto the C-buttons, like so:

up = grind/lip trick

left = flip trick

right = grab trick

down = ollie

This was really just for fun. I was new to emulators and couldn't tell you what a save state was, so I was using lowest stats with a lame PS1-style controller. I don't blame the controller, though.

Could be the camera I used to record it: A free (therefore cheap) program called CamStudio. Though some gaems were a bit darker back in the day because 3D gaming was just starting, so clear picture wasn't always available.

It was also on THPS3. As far as THUG2 goes... I didn't like it. The atmosphere just felt different. The additional area didn't really add. On the contrary, it felt like it took away from the experience. I dunno, I'm just a classic man, I guess.

Unfortunately, yes. Probably due to space issues: Cartridge holds less than a disc, I'm pretty sure.

I just got a PS1, so I'll be after that version. I just couldn't find a PS1 emulator and ROM for this game; the PS1 version's better.

AW, N64 version is the inferior version. No FMVs, poorer sound quality, and worst of all, the songs are cut short and looped. If you're gonna play it on emulator, might as well play a playstation version, the game shouldn't cost more than $10.

I'll tell you what, I haven't caught up on the games after THAW, but I just got THPS2X to play on my 360, and it fills the gap pretty well with the early games. I have all the games for GCN, and the first THPS for N64, but was missing 2. This one makes up for it and more. Especially since I can use the 360's music system to play my own tracks instead of what comes with it. :P
