Yes, I would def recommend this product 4 ppl with thick hair, & 2 help ur thick hair & edges lay down even more, tie a scarf around ur head. Just remember, the My Gel is water-soluble (which is good cuz it doesn't cause build up & it is considered a CG-approved product), so make sure your hair is completely dry before applying the product. I'm kinda afraid of the overnight, every night baggy method creating conditions on the scalp for yeast growth or otherwise gunky scalp... or is it that you then cowash or wash the day after baggying overnight?

I've never ever had scalp probs from leaving bag on overnight. My hair loves it! I only do the bagging method overnight if I know I'm doing a wet style the next day. After bagging overnight, I always wet down my hair in the shower, add more condish, then another quick rinse or splash cold water in my hair while at the sink to refresh, but I mostly do a wet down in the shower.

If I ever try the whole head baggy method again, I'm going to do it your way. I only likwd just bagging the ends of a ponytail when I had long hair. Haven't tried whole head since my big chop over 16 months ago.

i ordered MyGel. This product is wonderful for my 4a/b hair. I used knot today as a leave in and mixed the gel with my moisturizer and did a two stand twist out, MY TWIST were frizz free and hanging. I couldn't believe the hold and the moisture in my hair. I think MyGEl works best with a moisturizer and/or natural leave in.

Yea, I tried it again, and got fantastic results, and my hair was so moisturized even the next day, and my hair was still slicked the next day. It even makes my daughter coils pop like never before. I'm waiting for another shipment to come in, and when it does, I'll be doing a full review on the My Gel product.

It wasn't a leopard's dress. It was a multi-print (blue, turquoise with some floral accents) halter dress that came down to my ankles. I got it from Loehmann's in Moorestown, NJ.

Mygel does not have beeswax in it. I asked the rep there at the hair show about it and he said it was a misprint on the label. He also said if something has beeswax in it it will be cloudy/opaque. But, he said they had 2000 labels printed and so he was stuck with them. The big jr did not have beeswax on the label so I believe him. LOL! Sorry I missed you there. I was there early Saturday and saw no one! Boooooo! lol

I didn't purchase it because it reminded me of jam and jam never worked on my hair...even when I had a relaxer. So I passed. I got some juices and berries and some skin and hair products from chikafrik. I also got some cute earrings. I wanted to buy the eyeshadow pallet from color u but I will have to order it later.

In this video, I read the ingredients that were in the "My Gel" which I used to do my puff. Can you go into 4:15 part of this video and take a listen to the ingredients. This product made my hair dry and I was wondering which ingredient(s) in the product may have caused my hair to feel dry after using it.

There's nothing in there hun that should have made ur hair dry, its normally alcohol that's the culprit...so maybe the overall ingredient mix isn't right for your hair...or did u do anything different to your regi? :0)

I had product in my hair frm wash & go day b4. I had condish then Eco brown gel over that, then moisturized nite b4 wit moisturizer without alcohol or cones in it. I thought rinsing my hair in shower prior to applying My Gel would get sum of gel out from day b4. Maybe I shld try it on alcohol, cone-free hair next time. I bought My Gel cuz I thought it had sum nice ingredients & I was lookin 4 a nice holding gel without alcohol, cones or non-drying agents, and thought this was gonna be the one.

I just tried to slick my edges with the "My Gel" while my hair was dry and my results are much better, so I would recommend using the "My Gel" product on dry (non-wet) hair.

In this vid, I put in a subtitle lettin u guys know that the My Gel results on my hair did not last. Within an hour, my slicked edges started to lift and it made my hair feel really dry. I'm gonna try it again on dry hair, as opposed to wet hair. I think the main use for this My Gel product is for people with locs. That's how they were promoting their product at the hair show, how good it works when forming locs.
