Howdy, there Country... I've been playing with facebook, interacting with Tom, Peri, and Ken, as well as some of my family. Over at MySpace, I keep up with some high school friends and family. MySpace is low maintenance. Facebook, with the little plug-in apps, gets to be a time drain, because I enjoy the interaction with friends on each app, comparing and contrasting interests. I enjoy it more than MySpace. Twitter, I don't get. I'll send you a PM with my account names.

Great vlog Jim! I was "blogging" about 6 years ago before I knew what blogging was about. I called it an online journal which i created on my own personal website. I was updating that a couple times a day, but it kind of died out on me last year as YT really kicked in. I agree, it's much more fun to have an audience.

I'm on MySpace as well and just opened up a twitter account! Oh dear! What's this all about! :)

Micro blogging...that's a new one on me..I'll have to check it out. I know a lot of folks who use facebook...and a lot of folks who have found "long lost friends" on there as well. I've never used myspace or facebook...it just never appealed to me I guess. We've been doing the rain dance in SC also...with similar results from the drought...we've finally gotten some rain but we need a heck of a lot more to get back where we need to be with our water levels. I did a little bit of written blogging back in 1999 and 2000, but only on my own geocities home page. I got tired of it and took the page down, though.

That's a very accurate description of Twitter. I do mine only from the web.  And even though I rejoined MySpace, I'm still scratching my head about it. Never wandered into Facebook.

Hi Jim. I've never used either Facebook, or Twitter. I did used to do a written blog, but then i discovered YouTube & the blog stopped & the vlogging started.

I do run a MySpace page, but that's for a radio station i'm involved with & not a personal page. Like you i'm not a big fan of MySpace though.

I'm not sure how some people find all the time to run all of these sites :)

Hi there Jim, I checked out Twitter, but really I dont think I could keep up with anymore accounts lol. I do have a myspace and there is a link to it on my channel. Its mostly family and stuff. I go there daily and on occasion write a word or two of poetry. I just recently deleted my 3 alternate myspace accounts because it was too much to keep up with. I never really blogged. I had a website where I would put up what I called "pieces" or stories. Which today's equivalent is my vlog with a purpose (not the random stuff). I've never really been one to document stuff daily. I forget easily or lose interest.

So Twitter sounds sort of like an email that you'd write to a friend basically. Like what is currently happening in your life?

Hotel Rwanda was one of the best movies I've ever seen. I watched it as a 'free' movie at a hotel that came with a free movie every night. Best free movie ever :)

Beth twitter allows you to post a sentence or two of what you are up to at a given moment or day. You can also interact and almost chat with those following with you but you don't have to do that.
