Oh and if you read this Greg, your other videos inspired me to go out and drop $250 on a student flute - this is after 15 years of teaching myself to play guitar. Heaps harder to get notes from than guitar, but I suspect it will be easier to play once I get the hang of it. And, of course, I use the term 'easy' in context.

Greg, I know that you dont really do this but I was wondering if you could tell me how you play the low C on the concert flute. I have DODDS-Europe Honors Band auditions in a few weeks and would really apreciate some advice on the low C because I have to do a 3 octave C scale. Could you help?

YO, embouchure is important to study with long tones. But, for a great quick low note "trick", gently slap your left ring finger down on the G key while articulating the low C. When the timing is worked out, you can really punch all low notes on the flute with this technique...Good Luck!
