  • everything but a radio

  • Didn't they ever put cat engines in the cat skid steers?

  • @SuperJohndeere4020 Not "true" U.S made CAT Diesels, either British made ones (re-branded Perkins) or now Japanese made engines (re-branded Mitsubishi)

  • @WillieWonka928D I know but did they put Caterpillar engines in the Skid steers?

  • @SuperJohndeere4020 No I don't think they ever did.

  • How much did it cost when it was bought?

  • @UpcomingJedi It probably went for around $45,000-$50,000, maybe more.

  • my grilfrinds dad has the S300 too and he liks it

  • i love bobcat too they are cool

  • Oh yeah Bobcat has some great loaders, I love the S300.

Case is probably my first choice for loaders since my dad has an 1845C and its just a great, reliable, tough old loader!

  • I agree. CAT makes some great machines. They have strong engines and the cab is a wonderul work enivorment. Your only 14 so where did you use the skid steers when you tried them out? Thanks

  • If we were to trade in our Case 1845C right now, the Caterpillar skid steer would be the one. I'd still like to check out those new Bobcat M-series coming out since Bobcat equipment has been good to us. But Cat would be the now right now. I'd still wanna to try out an MTL.

I usually just drive these things around the Dealer lot, looking for something to dig in.

  • How old are you? Review and try out a John Deere 325 or 332. Tell me what you think, Bobcat cabs are a bit nicer but I like the Deere's power.

  • I'm 14 and I've tried every major brand of skid steer loaders. Bobcat is my favorite, I like their Large Frame Skid Steers, the A300 AWS loader, ans the Toolcat 5600 and 5610. CAT is the way to go for Skid Steer loaders. Deere's got some really nice machines but with the 60/40 weight distribution you lose a bunch of lifting capacity. CATs have the nicest cab.

  • Thanks for your insight. We have Deere 317(2), CT322, 325, 332, and Bobcat S100, S185, S250 at the landscape compnay I work for. Our Deere 317, and 325 out lift and out power the Bobcat S185 and S250. I am an operator with 3 years experience so far and although Deere and Bobcat are all I have used so far and really like the Deere's. Many of our older operators have used other brands and seem to be liking the newer Deere's. We will be trading the B-Cats in for 313, a 2nd325 and a CT332 soon.
