Nice choice for spots for your first..If he actuall scarred you,as a Tattoo Artist myself,I am ashamed he works in a shop doing that to people.However some cocoa butter(stick not lotion) will heal it nicley..even after it being redone,you may have a shine to the tattoo..thats scar tissue,as long as it didn't keloyd then cocoa butter applied daily should have it looking right in a few days...You did great for such a painful spot..lol

Yes, the pain differs for everyone... but it`s not a big deal. Also while I was getting my tattoo I had my headphones on all of the time, because if you don`t hear the noise of that machine is much better. Listening to my favourite music and not concentrating on that needle getting in and out of my skin...helped alot. Relax and everything will be ok :)

I got mine a few days ago, it starts from under my breasts and goes down on my ribs, to my panties line and I was so freakin` scared after I read all the comments related to pain. Well, I must say that it wasn`t even half as bad as I thought it would be. I felt it, of course... but the pain is pretty minimal. I guess the most hurt on my waist line. But as a person with a pretty low tolerance on pain, I have to say that I am happy I didn`t let fear to stay in my way and ... I will def get more.:)

@Kittishor85 awesome hehehe :) i guess, its different for everyone! also, iv added to this tattoo and changed it up. the dude that did it in here - didnt do a very good job, he went too deep and so scar tissue developed, so going over it again was also extremely painful.. but defntly worth it in the end, also planning on getting lots more :) <3

@xdotxdotxdotx scar tissue, oh that sounds bad. It is very important to see the work of a tattoo artist before you let him/her touch your skin. Mine in as smooth as the rest of the skin from that area... But I have a really small scar tissue on my shoulder from an old incision and I was thinking to do something and cover that part too... Glad to hear you fixed your problem, I guess that`s the good part of getting tattoos, if you don`t like it over the years, you can change it :)

my tattoo felt like being sliced with a scalpel tracing the tattoos out line, but it is bearable, imagine a nasty sting or that teeny second when the needle goes through yours ears for the first time and thats what it is like although id say it is slighty less painful than piercing after the first dab with the gun.

I found that after a little minor tweaking the design looked just as good smaller, and it would fit in the space between my hip and my ribcage; maybe going up on the first rib a tiny bit. I think it will be a nice place because I don't want my tat to show when I'm wearing evening gowns or anything. But I'll definitely ask the tattoo artist for his opinion on the whole thing before I make any decisions.

I think you did well, you probably didnt eat. Anyhow good job, and I like your tattoo. I had people faint on me on smaller tattoos then yours. No matter what, it hurts to get a tattoo, its the pain tolerance of each person. Next time will be easier.
