  • @SonicGirl1111 Computers can't understand base 10 numbers (what us humans are used to reading) so we use base 2, and now have to learn how to convert. Another fun fact is that it's really easy to convert base 2 to base 16 (hexadecimal) using blocks of 8 binary digits to blocks of 2 hexadecimal digits, 0000 0000 being 00, and 1111 0000 being F0 for example.

  • A "bit" is short for "binary digit".

    The number in the video is 6 bits, which allows 2^6 = 64 different values.

    Adding another bit would double the number of available digits. Two more would make a "byte" (one byte = 8 bits).

    Decimal digits are the 0-9 numbers that we use every day.
