  • I've listened to almost all the Cowboy bebop music probably a million times, but this tune always stands out just a little bit, a special song, one could possibly never get tired of.

  • @tititalin I feel exactly the same way man. I think that happens to most people who hear this song.

  • feel like i'm in one of those ol' cafes where that sexy yet mysterious lady would come on the stage an sing her pretty heart out in make you think twice 'bout who you fell in love with

  • It was actually the Seatbelts that got me to watch Cowboy Bebop. I LOVE the music. The show itself was amazing. They left so much unsaid! I hope they make a prequel! Spike, Vicious, and Julia's time together!

  • Spike is so hot

  • This song's so bittersweet. *-* I love Bebop's soundtrack.

  • shit why is it that when this awesome sounding female sings I get sympathetic for her but if I were to sing for the one I love (which I suck at singing) everybody would probably find me a total loony -_- it makes me wanna cry kinda (I mean the whole point of the song)

  • I don't think I'll ever get tired of this song

  • i am caught in between 2 choices when listening to this song...

remaining in my seat until my train arrives at the destination or leaving prematurely due to a crushing feeling of indescribable-ness.

  • Holy crap. Amazing singing to an already amazing piece... I wandered across this and immediately stopped everything I was doing.

  • The image says "cowboy bebop cd box original sound track limited edition featuring yoko kanno / seatbelts"

  • @Zades145 not anymore. I want to kick the bastard who disliked this.

  • @Zades145

Then someone disliked it. Nice Job Breaking It Hero.

  • @Zades145

You need to remember that generally only people who have seen Cowboy Bebop will hunt this out.

The tune's okay, but no way does it deserve a 99.8% goodness rating (558 likes and 1 dislike at time of writing).

I'm a big fan of Yoko Kanno, and for example, her "Power of the Light" and "Platinum" (Card Captor) pieces are much more sophisticated harmonically and melodically as well as being much more interesting and intricate.

    Good singer though.

  • @TwinbeeUK

you cant say this song deserves anything other than what it has. 99.8% isnt a number some pretentious music aficionado declared; its a number chosen by the people who listened to it.

  • @Invisiblefiyah

My point is that saying "99.8% of people like this" is in one sense biased because it won't have been a decent cross section of the public, and instead mostly only those who have actually seen Cowboy Bebop.

  • @Zades145 make that one now.

  • @Zades145 I guess someone's a rebel

  • @Zades145 nope. Looks like there's a hater. Only one, though.

  • grr.. Yoko Kanno damn it.

  • My parents were surprised that this was an anime song.

  • if you look side ways it says cowbot bebop origanal soundtrack *something*kanno/seatbelts\

  • Emily Bindiger is dope

  • Who knew that a simple 30 minute tv show could capture your heart with tear jerking melodies such as this.

    Amazing, huh? :)

  • @wilthepunk

    you said it dude

  • I don't know how, I've listened to this song over 300 times (seriously), and yet it still sounds just as amazing as the first time.

  • the pic looks like adult reborn from hitman reborn xD

  • Magic!

  • weird feeling, eh. I reckon that's called jazz/blues. :)

  • i love this song!! i loved the anime too still my fav anime, no matter how many other ones i go through! epic, truly epic! i love the seatbelts and yoko kanno! =^-^= thanks for posting! love you!!!!!!!!!! XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • i love this song and most of the others on the OST. anyone know any similar songs like this? shit is amazing, perfect song for the perfect moment in bebop

  • such a beautiful song....

pretty sadness, flashbacks, weird mood, drinks, tears, and this fucking feeling inside...

I would like to listen to this song in a bar with a beauty woman singing this next to a piano and me watching from the table.

  • My boyfriend showed me this song recently and I absolutely love it! I want to cover it sometime. :)

  • great style, atmosphere

  • im not afraid to admit it. i lost a couple tears when spike collapsed onto those lobby stairs and then recalling the last fleeting moments shared with the crew of the bebop. i still carry that weight haha

  • @ MacabreTripsix *bang*

  • beautiful song!!

  • Cowboy bebop IS the most popular anime/manga not just because of the story but more towards the music and settings. I loved it at age 9 and still love it at age 19. YES! i watched the bebop at age 9 when i could late night. and to this day, the music, story, characters, setting, lines and more are what i love about it. DBZ was alright, Bleach was boring after the first visit to soul society and Naruto is annoying in English. Bebop is just unchangeable.

  • My favorite song ever !! Sad, but light at the same time. Addictive !!

  • Very nice song. It has been a while since I've listened to some Cowboy Bebop or watched an episode, but no matter how long it's been, it's still a favorite of my animes. Great song! Great anime!

  • this song makes me want to watch some kind of classic movies from the 60's or 50's.

  • i can relate to this song on so many levels.

when i was a bit younger, i was madly in love with a female exhange student but it wasn't meant to be and when she went back home...you can kinda say that i lost a part of my soul that day.

  • found it here you go ,.;[====] =]

  • i wish it was that simple. who knows what the future holds

everytime i listen to this song or 'memory', i fall asleep

  • you're very like me it seems in that you seem to not grasp a situation and just take a risk on the girl, I had a similar experience, thought it was impossible to get over, and it was, but only for a few years, then I met someone else and none of me looked back.

Can't say much for the sleepiness though, I've been an insomniac for years

  • cool story bro

  • god, i fell asleep for a moment!

not cuz this music its boring, its cuz its so commfortable and soft ^^

  • I used to put my Bebop CDs on and sleep with the windows open in the fall.... Super amazing times. I miss them a lot :(

  • The funny thing is, im not a fan of slow songs. there are a few exceptions though. and this one has just been added to that list of exceptions. Two thumbs up for the seatbelts=)

  • Wouldn't it be great if while in the city, a little cafe or starbucks started playing cowboy bebop, lights low or even better if someone started singing this wouldn't it great!

  • Yeah! I wonder if this song could even save McDonalds from its utter FAIL. lol

  • I could go for a cigar while listening to this song.

  • yes it makes me long for the rain too. and so close to the end here. A sacrifice to die with nothing left of even memories save to say what can be avoided.... too much I fear dies with me. So much left unsaid. I understand now what is that sad look in her eyes. And for all my knowledge I still sit here locked in this little container.... doomed to repeat even what I have learned and but for ever just a moment's rain....condemned for surviving....

  • you know what this song makes me want to do? i want to just sit with my good friends and listen to them talk joyfully, with the background as a bar with some nice comfy booths.a lady in a red dress like julia from Final fantasy VIII and a cute waiter to boot. and at my right, a window to watch the falling rain. dazed without time. just the moment. after all, perfection only last a moment. in a way, that's how long perfection can really last. Drinks all around.

  • Yo know what...... i wouldn't mind that at all. To actually meet a cowboy bebop fan, and just chill in a bar with jazz music playing in the background. Hell, I wish I could see The Seatbelts live atleast once before I die.

  • Ahh yes that would be great....mind taking me with?

  • Wouldn't mind at all. But you have to buy your own ticket if we going to see The Seatbelts.

  • Ok!

  • @wolfpawn -K- I know..... To hear such a beautiful thing... When all the sudden music isn't so much about the soul put into it as it is the profit out of it...now we've lost that.. young kids singing about feelings they've never had. a heart broken person can't dance. they want to let their emotions flow... when you think of when the song was used, you cry a bit too... you want someone to hold tightly, you feel a small twinge of pain inyour chest..thats what real music is. understanding.

  • @pinkcutie1102 Truest of true, this deserves thumb ups till it gets up there. Nothing else needs to be said.

  • @pinkcutie1102 "young kids singing about feelings they've never had." the post with this phrase deserves the thumbs up.

  • Each of the Cowboy Bebop songs feel like rough summaries of specific elements and emotions expressed in the series that are manifested in these songs both musically and lyrically.

  • I found out who the singer is. It's Emily Bindiger, when I was checking Yoko Kanno's Wikipedia page, I saw people she has worked with, and Emily Bindiger sang this aswell as the song Flying Teapot, which is also from on of Cowboy Bebop's OST.

  • great song but i still thing spokey dokey is the best song from the series then sax quartet!

  • This song was in one of the episode but I can't remember which

  • ゚.+:。(・ω・)b゚.+:。 so good!

  • To think, i normally listen to alot of rock stuff so you would expect that I wouldnt even have this on my mp3. However after watching Cowboy Bebop, this is the song that helps me calm down after a annoying day

  • This kind of music is perfect for drawing. Maybe it is because this music is a type of art all on its own. It is a wonderful and melodious song.

  • This makes me feel like my cloths have changed into a suit & loosen tie . As if i where suddenly brung into an old fashion bar meant for all those who listen. Like the song was sung by the main attraction & im just sighing away. Forever lost in a memory that iv never really had~

  • That was deep man.

  • Good riddance.

  • That was awesome and created a picture in my mind too.

  • bartender wiping out glasses with a rag, smiling at the lady in the red dress strung out over the piano

lady of the evening in some thug's lap, whispering in his ear as he gives you an icy stare from the corner of his sunglasses

tumbler of scotch in front of you, ice falling as the cubes melt, your reflection in a dirty mirror

classic imagery... if only we all led lives so interesting...

  • It's nice to see how deep can an idea go... a beautiful song resonating in your mind, giving your soul and imagination a little push to the other side...

  • Every time I hear this sort of music I do imagen some sort of piano bar just like you discribed. I'm thinking black and white tiles on the floor, and for some reason it's raining outside. Strange....

  • @viper3183 -k- the only other person in the bar receiving a glare from the local bar thug you sigh wistfully the rain tumbling down the windows outside as you look out it, your mind and heart roiling like so much ramen in boiling water. the piano woman wipes away a tear as her last note fades poignantly away. you shiver and walk out into a soft Sicilian drizzle, the song still playing in the back of your head.

  • We should all hang out sometimes at an old fashion bar/lounge haha~

  • yeah we should; with the

    bar and

all that jazz music just filling our minds.

  • yes and maybe you could loan your pal zoidberg a few bucks.................(not me)

  • read my mind..

  • If Cowboy Bebop music will be playing there, I'm certainly in :D. Let's make that bar, lol! Funny thing is that I don't like jazz and such at all, but it is total awesomeness!!!

  • @MicoMonstrosity I can picture the lady in red, with long satin back gloves delicately clenching the microphone lying on the piano.

  • @annabelLeelind

Lol yeah! My first thought was a black dress with white gloves

    but I thought maybe not

  • @MicoMonstrosity

and this makes me feel like you're the guy sitting at the bar with half the glass of whiskey while the man at the piano smokes away & the singer starts to shed small tears in that empire waist dress that sparkles in that bright light of the stage with her long white gloves on her makeup a glow...<3!

  • @MicoMonstrosity I'm in love with your answer.

  • This is my favorite song from Cowboy Bebop. I miss it; I wish it would come on again.

  • Get 40 bucks and go to Best Buy, all 26 episodes in a box set, all digitally remastered and everything. Best fucking thing ever.

  • omfg dude that rocks cowboy bebop is one of the best animes ive ever watched from the continuing story to the side adventures its intensity and music is just awesome!

  • yeah, except they called stray dog strut stray cat strut, and who knows what else, lol.

  • Dude I was yesterday at best buy and they didn't have it, damn it...

  • I remember watching Cowboy Bebop, and everytime I listen to this song I miss Spike.

I know it's only an anime and it's not real, but Cowboy Bebop was amazing.

  • @Izoto593 It doesn't matter if something was real or not, especially a work of art, what matters is that the affect it has on you is real.

  • @Izoto593 it was..

  • @Izoto593 I couldn't agree more.

  • @Izoto593 wait why do you miss spike he didnt die hes just sleeping thats all........T~T spike is still alive TT~TT

  • @zekenguyen damn straight he still is if he can fall out of a damn church window and live he survived that

  • American Idol is crap! Stop mentioning it... And anyway I really love this song :) I haven't been in love yet so I think that I don't full understand it >.>. What I mean is that I think there is more to it than what I think there is at the moment of my life :o

  • stella by moor Mastermoriarty

  • Help! I need to find the song that is played during Feye's remember scene. The scene where she remembers her past in the shower. It sounds like Memory but with a piano. Is it in one of the CD's?

  • i wish they came out with the male opera version

  • Beautiful melody, didn't remember it from the show but that doesn't matter with a song this moving. Up there with the best of the rest, such as Blue and Call Me, Call Me. Reminds me in many ways of Phantasy Star Universe's ending song, I know this was written a decade before but I hadn't heard this until today.

  • I have this unrequited fantasy that someday, someone with talent will choose to sing this song at an American Idol audition... national exposure, AND a ticket to Hollywood.

  • Sadly, I truly think anyone capable of singing this song, or who even appreciates this song, is the kind of person who wouldn't be caught dead listening to the crap that comes out of American Idol.

  • Wow, this music so amazing. I wish i could find these CD's It would be a real Treat to have them in anyone's collection of music.

  • ahh yes yes lovely

  • Great song. Great show.

  • Wow. I need to get this boxed set, there are so many awesome songs that weren't prominently featured in the anime.

  • I've got to get this CD. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

  • ;___;

    so pretty

  • aww i wantedd the malee operaa versionnn like in the episodeeee lol

  • "and i see in your eye that you werent really surprised at me at all not at all..." sigh lovely.

  • at allll, nottt...at allll.. i love that part =)))

  • wow man.... this takes me back to those good old days in highschool watching adult swim everyday when i got home from school

  • ...here I stand lost in a memory I see your face and smile...

  • and I know, yes I know...

  • what a beautiful song

  • The singer reminds me of Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast. Actually, the whole song does.

  • evry now and then i run into a beautiful song, not very known by the public... which makes it unique.. ;)

  • this song is wonderful how could someone not love it hardly any songs have ever made me wish i could sing

  • Oh good, I finally found this song. Love it, go cowboy bebop :)
