I remember, in the late 70's, the cashiers serving the customers couldn't smoke at their wickets but my uncle, the bank manager, could smoke in his office.

My great-uncle, who was a surgeon and a smoker, NEVER smoked while dealing with his patients.

He may have smoked in his actual "office" but never in a consulting room with a patient. The man wouldn't even start a consult without washing his hands.

I noticed the exaggerated, or missing, set dressings in calling this as bullshit. The strategically placed Glamour magazine from the period, yet the middle class woman should have been wearing gloves if she was running errands.

The lamp on the table and the human anatomy charts on the wall are too modern as is the doctor's haircut which is only made more obvious by the elaborate hair style on the woman.

I don't think the state of Utah realized that you can pay people to set dress convincingly.

I remember back in the late 70s going to the hospital for a checkup and the whole place smelled of cigarette smoke. Also when I started school the bus driver smoked a cigar on the bus and in the Chevy Suburban they used to take some of the kindergarten students home after their half day. I used to come home smelling of smoke and my nose would be all stuffed up from it. I determined as a kid that I would never smoke, and I never have.
