Hell, the truth hurts!! After all, wasn't it Marine pilots flying the Navy RH-53s that crashed and/or malfunctioned during the failed Operation EAGLE CLAW rescue mission in Iran?
@creoleDJ Now now, no reason to be shitting on other branches. My dad was in air force for 27 years and i want to go to Air Force but Im thinking of doing Marines instead. School for Pj is way too long, and I think as long as you serve its all good. I hate people who disrespect other branches. All branches make mistakes, and all branches work together to keep america and other countries Safe. Stop The trolling and stupid comments.
too bad they're retired. its really impossible to think that its gone just like the F-14 Tomcat, A-7 Corsair, A-6 Intruder, MH-53, F-111, and soo many other legendary aircraft.
I don't want your helicopter in my country for a pick up without people knowing. If a lot of country's would do that, it would get a mess don't you think?
Yup. Thanks to the politics surrounding the V-22 Osprey. Shame. The Pave Low is one of the best of the best. Friend of mine was an Aerial Gunner when the V-22 was in development, said it was nothing but trash. Should have been scraped but politicians got a hold of it.
Most of them are 40+ years old though right, does that have anything to do with the deactivation of the 53's? or is it the introduction of the v-22? most of them from what i can recall are 68,69,70, ect. Iv heard both good and bad from some of the of the marines. one of the other guys i know that works on HH-60's dosent seem to like it as well.
The MH53 lives still. I`m in the Navy and we can do all the Pavelows do. Our main mission is AMCM and secondary is VOD but we do practice with guns.

at 13 seconds, was that dude on a sling like they used to do in vietnam hueys?

keep your smiles on, guys.
i know that the MH-53 Stallion is retiring, but the pave Low system is moving to the UH-60 Blackhawk, becoming the MH-60G Pave Hawk.
It's not quite the same as a Stallion, but at least we still have the mission capabilities of the Pave low system.
