  • this is the same guy that passed the health care plan with no debate and in the dark to wut it contained. this is the same guy that said "it takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation togeather to control the people."

  • I trust the American people will vote your sorry @#$ out of office!

  • Heh, we're so screwed. Deja Vu all over again.

  • Forcing people to buy healthcare? Really?

Your country hasn't gotten single-payer public health care since the 60s. Then Nixon, one day, decides to let the private sector run health care by DENYING it to Americans to make a profit. Don't believe me? It was all caught on audio among the Nixon tapes. Google it or go watch Michael Moore's Sicko movie to hear it if you don't.

  • @anakin11380 you're a moron. Americans will be forced to choose a plan either a private or government in 2014 if not, your taxes will go up and also fined. Fucking idiot.

  • i hope everyone watching this clip is aware it was recorded in 2006 and the administration Rep. Dingell is referring to is the Bush administration.

  • and look at what Dingell's new administration is doing. Forcing people to buy Healthcare?

  • Obama spent over a year TRYING to find SOME compromise with republicans. But they obviously don't care since they keep telling him to throw the plan away and start from scratch.

When you compromise with someone, you CAN'T start from scratch. You discuss what's wrong and what's right and you work you're way to a solution.

But republicans only see EVERYTHING wrong. This doesn't make them right, it makes them unwilling to compromise.

  • actually when the bill is written behind closed doors thats not Compromise either.

Obama himself said it best "You can't expect us to vote for what you want while ignoring our own unadressed concerns"

  • @LeftiusMaximus:

"actually when the bill is written behind closed doors thats not Compromise either."

Yes and this statement was proven to be FALSE since the bill was uploaded in full on Obama's official site 10 DAYS before the summit meeting. Again, if you don't believe me look it up on his site. It's right there. I would post a url here if only youtube could let me.

  • Thats not the bill the House voted on and passed.

The Health care bill the House voted on was made public about a week before the vote.

The only substantial Republican Amendment which made it; thanks to pro-life Democrat support was the text striking the funding of tax payer covered abortion.

  • @anakin11380 actually it was proven the bill was missing quite a few pages compared to the original and the one uploaded and the bill was WRITTEN after most of the deals were made you dumb fuck

  • @anakin11380 Obama's official site.lol I have 'heard' some crazy stuff about Obama's official site. You must go there to look at the center fold of Obama sitting there in a pair of shorts with no shirt with his raisin nuts hanging out so you can wack off. Did you order the $19.99 Obama butt funk scratch & sniff?

  • There is text in the Healthcare bill that makes it a penalty of 2.5% tax to not have health care.

That is forcing people to buy health care is it not?

  • @anakin11380 that's fucking bullshit. it's been well documented that Obama and democrats have been shutting out the republicans. The democrats have been in power since 2006 and had no problem passing anything they wanted. You don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Obama wants no compromise but his own and WELL DOCUMENTED. Why do you think Obama failed on his promise of transparency? Secondly, Obama expanded the Patriot Act while he said he was against it. You're obviously brainwashed.

  • How ironic that Obama actually included republican ideas in his plan, yet republicans still say "let's start from scratch".

This juts show how the repubs don't care about solving the problem and care more about having their way.

  • @anakin11380 not ironic cause Obama hardly included any republican ideas and he did so at the end when he saw his own democrats voting NO and needed republican votes. Fucking brainwashed retard. You're democrats are just as if not more corrupt than republicans.

  • Yes, lies, lies, lies.........and they want us to trust them....bullshit. Come clean, mother fuckers!! Rip 'em new ones old man!!!!

  • If Rep. John Dingell (Dem) really believes what he says, then why does he take the complete opposite position at his town-hall meetings on the Health Care Bill issue..??? He is so full of shit it spews out of his old mouth!!

  • I'm a Republican, he's a Democrat, so what? How many REPUBLICANS in Congress (besides Ron Paul) do you EVER hear addressing civil liberties? To the naysayers, I'd rather have my civil liberties and have higher taxes if I had to make a choice. Freedom is more important to me than money, but I realize that's not the case with everyone.

  • I find it rather amusing that the democrats said they would reduce gas prices because they aren't tools of the oil industry and instead the prices skyrocketed and to boot they want to add 50 cents more per gallon so they have play money...just how stupid do they think people are?

  • These losers will tax us to death.

  • Thats my rep. He's so popular that the GOP doesn't even run a canidate against him. Go Dingell

  • meantime he wants to add a 50 cent tax a gallon to punish Americans for driving.

nobody is tapping your phone,my phone, his phone...Dingell is playing to his paranoid liberal base.

    Up yours John!Sideways!

  • Your an idiot! The most most striaght forward member of congress. He tells it like it is.

  • it's "YOU'RE".

I wonder if Dingel would have protested FDR who built internment camps for Japanese Americans after December 7th...talk about infringement on your civil liberties!

  • Even our forefathers said stupid things at times. Also, one must put his statments into context; Ben was living in a very different world than ours i.e. post 9/11. While your post sounds nice on the surface, you can't seriously compare the two.

    Have a nice day.

  • after you listen to this guy and all the other people it truely is unbeleivable that bush and cheney are still running the show, congress i think are truely scared somehow by cheney and bush, mind boggling,USA has been hijacked by their own government!

  • Thinking people; those that look into the facts behind the story, understand why president Bush and his cabinet, are doing what they are doing. It is the knee jerk liberals, those that are always jacked to the max on emotion, and way short on the facts are the real danger to America and the american dream. Dingell is a socialist clown.

  • As a liberal I'm not surprised that you can't see the obvious: the leftwing socialist dems in Congress/Senate are incapable of leading, all they're capable of are lies, distortions and character assasination of Republicans (those that have thought out plans). When dems are given the reigns of power, they're dumbfounded and confused. You put them there, now we all suffer the consequences. They're poser clown, just like Dingell "The Dingbat"

    Have a nice day.

  • Do you guys know what Turban size you are. Keep supporting these people and you'll find out...

  • brilliant, substantive response. keep avoiding a rationale debate on the subject by ad hominem attacks and hyperbole. i suppose your response is, "we should fight them there so we don't have to fight them here." time to take your head out of the sand...

  • This man is absolutely right. Now if only the Dems had more folks who tell it like it is and talk straight like Rep. Dingell, I think we'd really be on to something.

  • The greatest threat to the war on terrorism isn't the Islamic insurgency — our military can handle the savages. It's traitorous liberals trying to lose the war at home. And the greatest threat at home isn't traitorous liberals — it's patriotic Americans, also known as "Republicans," tut-tutting the quaint idea that we should take treason seriously.

    2006 ANN COULTER

  • Hear! Hear! Too few people are telling it like it is in Congress. Now if only all the Dems would follow suit.

  • That's my rep, making me proud.
