  • ich gefällt das, ich gefällt das, ich gefällt das, like like like...!!!!

  • 1:04 invisible cock

  • Superb singing, great acting, the emotions between them look so realistic.

    A moving experience.

  • it's not terrible singing, but the vibe of this piece just doesn't work then the baritone sounds like a lyric tenor and the female sounds like a full lyric mezzo. it's sounds more like a cougar and a young guy than a virile, masculine rake and innocent damsel

  • the music, the opera, and the story.... mozart is sooooo gooooooood! don giovanni is soooo gooood! it reminds me of my friend that loves girls. hahahahahaha. i hope he will have the same fate of ehat don giovanni experienced. ^_^

  • love it a lot <3

  • Yeah Bo Skovus sounds so old here.

  • Pięknie!!!

  • Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • She has such a special look that you could stare at her as long as you want.

  • He's so macho man for opera.

  • This makes me smile...!

  • This can't be described by one word.. but if I have to... i must say the word 'beautiful' itself.. just like our sweet dreams..

  • I have to say their voices are simply stunning in every way!

  • She's the new Callas.

  • @chuntsiack thats pushing it a bit

  • Beautiful! This is part of the continuing delight of listening to opera over many decades.

  • Wow!

  • That's quite a wobble Skovus has going there. Its a pity, he is fairly young. He pushed his voice too soon, he sounds so old here. The duet should be an easy sing for a vocally healthy baritone.

  • livello scuola media ...e ancora...

  • isnt he on mackerras' scottish chamber orchestra recording? damn i WANT THAT RECORDING!!!!

  • It's a pity this video is so terribly seedy! Anyway, Anna is splendid and highly sensual as usual.

  • Netrebko-magnifica voce tecnica mediocre.

    Skovhus- orrendo.

  • @bodiloto Contradict yourself, dear.I wonder what do you actually know about vocal technique?

  • @spqrmor Spossibo za iumor!!!!Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

Koniechno chto tecnica Nietrebko plohaia,nu chego dielat?

Nietrebko dlia menia poiot ka DILETANTKA,vot i vsio.

Bonne chance mon cher patron!

  • @spqrmor sluhovoi apparat? Izvinite menia no Vyi uje polzuetes ot nego,da?

Ciao

  • Mozart is a God!

  • Thanks heaven for this music. Mozart. the Lord of music. Two divine voices sing this duet. One of the best performance I have ever seen. Molto grazie!

  • BRAVO .ANNA IS THE BEST !

  • The guy's stiff as a board - no seducer he!

  • @abcfredxyz

but this guy is handsome as hell

  • does someone know a music more human than Mozart's ? Please tell me... I've been searching for 40 years...

  • Là ci darem la mano. I sleep all night and I work all day.

  • mooier dan mooi

  • The music - W.A. Mozart - is indeed wonderful and both singers do it well. Anna is really impressively beautiful and has also a quite beautiful voice. But I also thought the tempo a bit low.

  • Mozart is such a wonderful man guys! I am impressed everytime I listen to his pieces. Bravo!

  • the best looking duo :)

  • Anna, Anna, Anna, beauty and talent in one great package !!

  • więcej werwy ..............

  • Fantastic Mozart..

    Great and wonderful

  • Mozart is music christ! (Tchaikovski)

  • The tempo is so slow. Pick it up--it's not a dirge.

  • @shinglebob1 yeah, I too think the tempo is abit too slow.

  • Here is a truly beautiful duet. I saw miss Netrebko a few months ago in Paris. She is gorgeous. And Bo is absolutely yummy. They both do an excellent job there, if it wasn't for the conductor who directs the music to slowly.

  • Does someone know the date or place of this presentation? tks..

  • Lovely duo!

  • It's so beautiful.

  • She's so beautiful in this video. Beautiful voice!

  • A little bit too slow!

  • Haw...Haw...Hawt Zerlina!!!

  • Bravo!

  • Mozart rocks!

  • Unbelievable !!! Listen and you get the feeling good is very close !

  • Damn Anna Netrebko is one fine peace of sexiness <3

  • god i love mozart

  • Adoro Netrebko, la sua voce é stupenda ,bellissima donna ma per me non canta "all' italina".

    Bo Skovhus -orrendo.

  • mozart is amazing... beyond words... really.

thanks so much for posting this...:) :) :)

  • The most sensual video on YT

  • @gman20101 seems I mistaken. Netrebko-Hvorostovski Duet Nedda-Silvio is even more sensual

  • aaaaaaaa

  • Beautiful duet! Very beautifully sung! Well matched voices! Anna looks beautiful and her soprano is exquisite as always! Bravi!

  • Wow Such Great Music... Of The Past That Needs To Be Well Know Again Then That Dreadful Rap Stuff Sickkkk...

  • I'm beginning to think that tollerance is a virtue.

  • bellisima!!!!

  • hell damn me, mozart is good!

  • @IlxGatoxNero this mozart...mozart's don giovanni

  • @vanya2309 only sometimes :P

  • she has heavy voice and its not suitable for Mozart or any bel canto repertoaire wich she love to do !

  • He is indeed seductive and is always excellent to my mind, especially as Don Giovanni. Unlike that, she is so disgusting

  • @4382461 is "disgusting" a term in musicology?

  • @yaakovha no; not at all. this is a question of aethetics ... sorry to have insulted you

  • @4382461 no insult taken its ok. just that are so many who are using u-tube to let free their darker side (about AN among others).please dont be another one!

  • Her Zerlina is showing very little resistance...

  • Her Zerlina is showing very little resistance...

  • Great voices... the guy looks like he could be in the Russian Mafia though... lol even though he's Danish.

  • Great, voices, beautiful rendition

  • Traviata - Ms. Netrebko displayed ample power, coloratura bravura with a marvelous tone Having recently heard Natalie Dessay sing Sempre Libera at the Met Gala, one was impressed by the legato nature of Netrebko's portray in contrast to Dessay's intentional staccato, fragmented phrasing interpretation. Having also seen photos of Fleming in her current Violetta at the ROH, one can only marvel at Netrebko's resilience, endurance and commitment to bel canto opera.

  • adoring Netrebko, I`m sorry enough to admit, that she is not really a mozartienne

  • 6 stars!

  • this is oky, but yes her voice does sound heavy, but until someone proves to me otherwise the best version of this song is done by Kathleen Battle and Samuel Ramey. Battle was also known as a "pretty face" but her mozart was always sublime

  • Bryn Terfel and Cecilia Bartoli is best version

  • @Bahia82 I agree with A7madeus..i love the bartoli/terfel duet, however Ramey and Battle sound heavenly! (I never listened, I should now!) I do think Anna has a heavy voice for Mozart, she's better for bel canto/ russian repertoire.

  • question:

is there an accent on the "NO" syllable in "la ci darem la maNO"?

some versions on youtube has accent while others don't. On my score there is an accent.

    thanks

  • @charmingemily

not at all! the accent in the word "mano", "hand", is on the A!!!

  • I see...

so the accent is on the "MA" of "MAno"

how do you know the accent is there though? based on music theory? or your version of the score is original?

    thanks a lot!

  • I know where the accent in "mano" goes because italian is my mother tongue.

Then, if you look at the notes and try to sing it ON the orchestra, you would see the accents falls in their place on "lA'" "darEm" and "mAno" naturally.

  • jane you re welcome!

  • no jean .. hier husband is erwin schrott!

  • yes ^^ sorry for that question

  • is that her husband who is singing??

  • Absolutely no chemistry. Netrebko couldn't look more uninterested. She seems to be only interested in sounding pretty.

  • but sounding pretty is her job, is it not? I prefer a singer that sounds pretty and does not act so much, than one who's only acting and sounds horrible.

  • @JaneEyreFan19 No, her job is not sounding pretty. Her job is making music. In my opinion, there is no honest emotion involved in her music.

  • This is lovely singing from both and definitely in the right style for Mozart. My only criticism is that it lacks humour. The Count should get a laugh as he follows her offstage.

  • A very interesting, non-orthodox interpretation: it's not clear who is seducer and who is seduced ;-)

  • Their singing style doesn't fit to Mozart..

  • Anna is blijft geweldig. We genieten bij elke toon.

  • I quite agree...

  • Peter Mattei as Don Giovanni is the best!

  • Netrebko sounds kind of "heavy" in this role, doesn't she? I don't like her singing this opera.... Poor performance. As well as this man. What is he? Not a bass-baritone, not a bass, not a baritone, so what else? A tenor shouldn't sing Don Giovanni.... because it's not written for such a height.

  • To Elisabeta VS, this is not a tenor. you must be joking, use your ears!!!!

  • I didn't say he was a tenor. I just said, that I cannot decide on him being a bass, a bass-baritone or a baritone because his voice is somehow... sometimes very high and sometimes very low. I cannot decide what he is! Use your eyes to read what I wrote.

  • He is a baritone and it is not my fault your English sucks.

  • Thank you. If you only can argue while being rude, I am not interested in further conversation.

  • @JussidelMonaco Schön gesagt! :) (und netter Nickname)

  • @ElisabettaVS Dankeschön da freue ich mich gleich doppelt :-)!

  • are there any operas in english?

  • Many of the great operas have been translated to English and sometimes they play them in English. ^^

  • There are also many great operas in written English. Most are very 20th century, atonal and not exactly what you may be looking for, but they are just as beautiful and fun to perform. I'm currently in the Crucible, we did Dido and Aeneas last semester, and there are many others. Google can likely help you find more.

  • bellisimo!!!

  • They are quite sexy and magical together! (from the author of the novel MARRYING MOZART published by Penguin)

  • I play it on the piano!

  • is a very beautiful song i play it on trumpet which is incredibly hard considering it was written for strings and not so much for trumpet and articulation gets tough

  • is she cheating masetto? poor he, anyways.

  • This guy is cheating.. He is Tenor or a baritone without balls.

  • Is this part writting for a bass?

  • yes, Mozart wrote Don Giovanni role for basses

  • It was written for a lyric baritone actually.

  • this doesnt move me, its very heavy

  • It sounds extremely romantic to me.

  • This is heavy for mozart. I was expecting a little more whimsical if not lighter.

  • Too bad most people don't give the lower voices a chance. Most everyone goes crazy for Tenors. But listen to how beautiful this area is. To me it sounds just as good or even better than any Tenor aria.

  • Decent, but cannot touch Terfel & Bartoli. Is it just me, or are these two preposterously good looking? Little jealous, I have to say...

  • I don't think it's that bad. Actually quite nice.

  • It's awful. He wails like a dog in heat and she is flat. This duet is dead. I am going to clean my ears.

  • And so what if she is flat She sings like an angel if youre girl or boy they sings better than you and that hurts you, looser

  • "So what if she is flat... she sings like an angel?" Oh, that makes a lot of sense! LOL. You just like how she looks.

  • Their voices are way to dark and heavy for mozart. They really need a dose of listening to Kiri and Bryn and QUICK!

  • Cecilia and Bryn you mean -- there is a pure joy, not only in their singing but in acting too. Real "Don Giovanni" the way Lorenzo Da Ponte and Mozart I think meant it to be. As far as Netrebko -- a sensation only for her looks (which are gone, by the way), I am out of this discussion, it's gotten ridiculous.

  • Well, yes Cecilia and Bryn for this particular aria. I just named Kiri and Bryn, since both of them are known for their Mozart, Kiri especially. They know how to be light and elegant, appropriate for Mozart.

  • I don't like Netrebko, too. Many people adore her, but her performances sound always quite poor to me (except her being Susanna in Le Nozze - I like her there, in some parts). As you said, looks nice, good for marketing, but nothing more..... at least that's what she is to me.... (Sorry for that).

  • Not only too dark but sharp too especially Netrebko. What irritates me most is that she doesn't cover her notes with breath support, so it's throaty. Even for Enrico Caruso, on a poor recording sound, you can still perfectly hear Caruso's breath support covering the notes.

  • way too slow.

  • Bo y Anna hacen los perfectos Giovanni y Zerlina. Bravo por ellos. Viva la ópera!!!!

  • Netrebko's turn as Juliette in the Metropolitan Opera's live simulcast of "Roméo et Juliette" was seen on the big screen by nearly 100,000 viewers at 600 theaters worldwide, according to the Met. The broadcast took in $1.6 million in North America alone more than some major motion pictures that day, including "American Gangster," starring Denzel Washington.

  • poor audience.
