  • i have a major problem. my main one is everytime i make a new object. like a line. or a copy and paste somthing in my picture. or change the color of the image in the "image" section. it all goes into one layer. so when i rub out the color say if i changed a blue cup to an orange one. and i use the eraser to rub it out i get a white background. instead of returning to the blue on the cup? please help, oh and my colors or "swatches?" how can i get my old color bar back?

  • @LuckyStarsClan At the top go to Window and then click on Layers.. or press F7.

    whats the difference between 'merge visible' and 'flatten image'?

    is merging flattening?

  • 'Merge Visible' will merge the layers with the eye symbol highlighted, or in other words, layers that are not turned off, and will leave all hidden layers (layers without the eye symbol turned on) alone.

    Flatten image will merged all layers regardless of visibility, although if you do have some hidden layers, Photoshop will ask you if you want to discard them.
