The series started out with Professor Layton and the Curious Village for the Nintendo DS, after which the series has kept on growing, including an animated film called Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva, which is what I used here.

What you must understand is it's a logic game, with lots and LOTS of enigma (every time you talk to a npc / want to go on with the plot, you'll get an enigma to solve). If you're into that kind of stuff, it's a really good game with a nice replay value (solve all the riddles in the game). The story / global atmosphere is really well done and the music is great.

Can't tell about the others, but it's a very popular series in Europe.

I have absolutely fallen in love with the whole series. I enjoy solving the puzzles and going through the lovely storylines. A special mention from me goes to the fact that it's very British, which I find very fresh when everything today is either overly American or Japanese. I can also never have enough of the beautiful music.

I also enjoyed the movie, as it delivered yet another lovely story and it tied well together with the games.
