My guess is that this is actually an allegory to how the most intellectual among us, pigs, if you will, are indeed smarter then the average populous.

However, despite their intellect they are deficient in some form or another to do much more menial, yet impressive tasks like ride motorcycles. However, not as intelligent people, bears, if you will, are for one reason or another able to carry out these tasks effectively.
