well, I heard that people with French accents emphasize the last syllable in every word, but in an American accent, we usually emphasize the first syllable. Like "GARden" not "garDEN" like that. Hope that helps.

Here's one thing to help your accent:
English usually at the end of a statement goes down in pitch.
Try to perfect your English vowels. If you're going for a certain accent such as an American accent, then practice American sounding vowels.
I'm not sure if this will work, but try to practice speaking French in an English accent. Once again, not sure if it will work.
Practice your "r"s.
Last thing: don't worry about your accent too much, I understood you perfectly.

la vidéo date un peut, mais si ça te pose toujours problème un conseil que je peut te donner c'est de regarder des séries ou films américain et essayer de s'approcher de leur accent. mon accent anglais n'est pas parfait mais les films et séries m'ont beaucoup appris que ce soit au parlé ou à la compréhension. Après si tu est destinée à beaucoup parler avec des américains surtout si tu vie la bas au fil du temps ça devrai s'arranger ;)

A suggestion, if I may, try to learn American songs. Not Pop songs, but more standards, such as those sung by Sinatra and Crosby. That will help you with the vowel sounds of English. Another idea would be to find an "all-news" radio station and play it in the background when you are busy about the house.

Another thing is our E's are shorter, R's without the (growl), and just remember that "I" here is "eye", to us, your I is like our E.

well, I heard that people with French accents emphasize the last syllable in every word, but in an American accent, we usually emphasize the first syllable. Like "GARden" not "garDEN" like that. Hope that helps.

Oh what I can say about my language. I have a bad english, but my accent, huh, how I can say that. My accent is most of British and/or Finnish, even though my vocabulary is USA. My own opinion, I like USA accent better than British because of clear hearing. Asian guy has got a fluent Finnish but also good accent with this. (What an embarrassing to me...) ;^^;
