these were the gearshifts on mercedes up until 1970 when they got the "upright" position :) have a neighbor with a -67 or -68 200D with rust up to the windows, been sitting for a while now but bet it still work..

Engine is not original to that car, it's a later model 4-cyl OM615 or OM616 (post 1974). Nothing wrong with that, but could be good to know if you still have the car and need parts for it.

Netherlands plates? No way. In the 60's the plates were black or dark blue. Now they are yello with black numbers but not in that order and letter type. I guess Tjech plates or on other former eastern europe licence plate.

And why the hell would you do a 350 conversion? That would suck ass! 350's are unreliable, and get piss poor MPG. stick with the diesel, it'll last forever, especially in a rust free car.

Hey Jed, you can still order any part of every Mercedes ever to have rolled of the conveyor belt at the larger Mercedes car dealer. It is expensive though.

Hey Cereal M. I really love seeing old w110s in the USA. Nice ride but to be honest that is not a Netherlands (Dutch) licence plate. Those are blue and white, at least they were in 1968.
