  • This is incredible and wonderful Ochi Chernyje in operatic version..Love this romantic and emotional Russian Song. One of my favorite song from Oksana..Thank you.

  • The best from the best!!! BRAVOOOOO!!!

  • Hvorostovskii, vi gigant...

  • i learn french but it doesn`t sound so melodious like russian. now i trying to find the cours to start learning russian. the language sounds so powerfull and I can sense some strange strenght when i hear it especially even Hvorstovsky sings or RRAC

    greatings to russia

  • weltklasse

  • Otchin kracivi, balshoi spaciba

  • No, actually it's going to remain the most spoken language at the same level as Mandarin (Chinese)

  • Where's the choir?! Chalyapin did a much better rendition of this song.

  • Bravo ! Bello ! ...

  • He has an awesome voice but he's a bit melodramatic for my taste.

  • weltklasse !!!

  • No chorus. Chalyapin had a chorus!

  • bravo!

  • stil eto dielo delikatnoie...

  • After "Ochee Chornye" which is the correct order of words? Is it "ochee zhgoochye, ochee strastnye" or "oche strastnye, ochee zhgoochye"?

  • Russian folk songs are his strongest side.

(But when he sings , say ,Verdi , I think the same, romanses-the same, etc...

  • ochi chornyje = black eyes

  • I think he owns the red army"s recording. However I kinda like the goofy ending on the Reds. Otherwise this guy awesome.

  • God !! Is soooo beautiful:)

  • Could anybody help me to find this song's(Ochi chernye) printed sheet music?

I am a vocal singer and need to learn it as soon as possible to perform in concert.

If you have it please send scanned sheet music to me, please?

    Thank you very much

  • @stacy1124xo

You're a vocal singer? I'm sure you can identify the musical notes since you are one.

Or maybe you're not skilled enough? I found the sheets on some site but you have to pay for it.

  • @szigetimatyas,

  • I'm deeply in love with Russian language and this song brings out to light the beauty and charm of this melodious language. Thanks for posting it here.

  • Me too! It sounds beautiful, isn´t it? BTW I am a brazilian of portuguese origins (azorians)!!!

    THx too for posting this!

  • @AlanAlan2001 Is it possible that these generous people have been kept from us all these decades?! Impossible, a tragedy...

  • @AlanAlan2001 and czech is little bit better;)

  • @Aronther Ha-ha. You must be kidding. How can you compare thoroughbred horse with pony if I dare even call Czech as pony??? Hm... You must be brainless or tasteless

  • @GutSamaritan It looks like that you' re fuckin' selfish communist russian, who hates all nations which got free from soviets. Czech is MUCH more prettier and melodious then russian.

  • @Aronther Russian and communist are different things. You sound like a JEW with big nose who escaped Israel for America. This is the first. Second, as to me I am an ANTI-communist. Third and most important, ask Americans, British, French etc. , ask famous people what language they would prefer to learn. Ask all of them. But I know hundreds of them who eager to learn Russian. I never even hear they know shitty Check language.

  • @Search1110

Some Czech kid destroyed your toy when you were at kindergarten? Why do you hate Czechs so much? You have very big problem and you should go to the psychiatrist, he might help you...

  • @Aronther You are either 8 year old bred or brainless moron. Don't care to respond, I am not in mood to delete your shit. At least now I know Checks are stupid morons. Thank you for example. So you got me, right? Don't reply if you want to be just plain moron.

  • @Search1110 Lol can't even spell Czechs. Stupid kid, go back to school

  • @vkon15 In school they don't teach the spelling of Check. And you know what? I don't care because in the future this stupid language is going to disappear , why one should care how to spell this shit? :)

  • @Search1110 Whats wrong with their Language it sounds fine to me?

  • @AlanAlan2001 except that Hvorostovsky sucks. His performance is vulgar

  • If you are ever lucky enough to actually hear a live performance by Hvorostovsky you will be impressed by how romantic the Russians can be. This lovely version gives you the idea. Heres us a country with such a sad history, but such great voices - excellent!

    Ellie

  • Please, could someone send me the lyric in russian?

It's because I just found the lyric on wiki and it seams to be very wrong.

    Thanks!

  • Great song! Great voice! Great performance! Thanks for uploading.

  • The song is wonderful,I first heard of that song in the Central Moscow Radio I was 16 years old , never forget

  • maravilhoso!!!!!!!

  • maravilhoso!!!!!!!

  • MA - RA - VI - LLO - SO!!!

  • russkaya dusha! probiraet dashe teh kto teksta ne ponimaet! bravo!

  • My dear Russian "commentators", you seam to me simply envious. "Problems with the top", "only voice, no soul" - are all of you without ears? In this recording (I repeat, in THIS recording) he is abslutely flawless vocally and sings from the heart, the real sense comes out! It is not anymore a traditional "gipsy" song, but a really tragical romance. So please shut up with your comments in the style of stupid first year students.

  • An wem hast du denn geantwortet?! Danke fuer Aufmerksamkeit.

  • FUCK THIS

    THAT WAS IMPRESSIVE!

  • wow. song in russian, subtitles in japanese or other asian "trees"(krzaczki). I don't understand both of them, but it sounds great :)

i saw text of polish wersion - and that had really other meaning.

  • Ya soglasna s vami! Nikak do menya ne doxodit, pochemu on takoj raskruchennyj. Kajetsya iz-za vneshnosti i imidga.

  • This shit was so fucking great, aaaah i loved it!

  • I find the man so imposing and the way he sings just mesmerizes you.

  • it doesnt get better than this

  • i first heard of that song in the video game, called Syberia.. it was awesome.. with a woman's voice..

  • Ehehe, me too. :-)

    The song is beautiful anyway.

  • He, I was positively shocked when I was playing Syberia - I am from Poland, and this Russian or Ukrainian song has very good tradition - Violetta Villas version is best known. I think this is rather ukrainian song, but I am not sure.

  • Friend, thank you for your talent !

  • mükemmel ötesi

  • bravo!!!

  • Tenor?? original??? It's an old RUSSIAN song, you, moron. Bravo, Hvorostovskij! Bariton is good, and bas is good too. How is about Shalyapin?

  • Thank God you came along to set us straight, expofreak. Now I know that any and all music I hear must be measured up to the "Original" three tenors.

  • What are you nuts??!! If someone is rigth singing this song is him. Not the three tenors!! The song is russian and so is he. He grew up listening to those songs!! Besides Hvorostovsky is a baritone, one of the greatest that history has ever seen, not a tenor.

  • It's frightening how many morons are floating around this world!

  • "ah, kara gözler/ yanan, tutkulu, güzel gözler/ seni nasıl da seviyorum/ senden nasıl da korkuyorum/ belli ki gözlerine ilk tesadüf ettiğim an uğursuz bir andı/ eğer seni görmeseydim böyle ıstırap çekmez, hep gülümseyerek geçirirdim hayatımı/ ama gördüm seni, tüm huzurumu kaybettim/ senin uğruna tüm dünyayı unuttum/ yumuşak okşayışların ve ateşli bakışların beni cezbetti, büyüledi/ beni mahvettiniz, ebediyen mutluluğumu çaldınız, ey kara gözler TUR

  • That's so sad. He can sing. The song is wonderful, but it means nothing because the producer put everyone under pressure.

  • Thing here is that Russian and English often don't "word for word", so direct translation can lead to silliness, or getting punched out! Often word meanings are fuzzy between the two languages too. So if you say, "What's this word in Russian?" you may get a choice of six words! LOL! Context is the thing.

  • wspaniale, dziękuję

  • omg. I want to kidnap him and keep him as my personal Baritone! He's amaaaazing.

  • Bravo!

  • Great singer! Our, Russian!

  • Gave me goosebumps. Is this a Japanese orchestra? Singer? Japanese subtitles. Interesting.

  • This is Dmitry Hvorostovski, Russian Baritone. Don't know the orchestra or the conductor.

  • WAW super

  • isn´t "ochien" that means "much", is "ochi" that´s an old word for "eyes" and the entire title means "black eyes"

  • According to a guy on another page, "Ochi" is Old Russian, and the new is "Glaza" for eyes.

You're thinking of Ochen "очен" which really means more like "very", as in "Ochen krasivaya jhenshchina!" Very beautiful woman.

Chyornii pl: chyorniye, sort of, is really "black" normally, but I guess it's used for "dark" too.

  • da, "ochi" is an old slavic word, had been used for "eyes". as we can see "ochki" means eyeglasses :))

  • My Bulgarian lady uses the term, ochila" (pl) for eyeglasses. But she speaks an odd combo of Russian (much of which I understand, and Bulgarian, little of which I understand. So sometimes I don't know if a word whe uses is RU or BG or both! LOL!

  • but you must admit that ochila looks suspiciously like the latin oculi :)

  • @NekysAcherontios Daaa :))

  • Ochen' chornie* :) or if you prefer cyrillic spellign Очень Черные :) amazing singer

  • Shouldn't that be Чëрные?
