@xiXequinoxXix Lol, thats actually quite funny :P. There ARE menial tasks, but remember those zones where you do those menial tasks are usually the place/hub where the event will kick off in a couple of minutes, so its better then being there with nothing to do lolz.
@SkilledClips every class heals, tanks, and dps, and every class also has multiple "elements" but the other classes use multiple weapons instead, so it's all perfectly balanced.
Probably just the weapon the Ele is using. Remember, different weapons = different skill sets = different fighting styles = different combat roles. The staff, for the Elementalist, is meant to be that medium/long range weapon.
The staff will function differently for each class that can use it. For the elementalist, the style literally is "shooting out" fireballs, ice chunks, water tridents, etc. But for the guardian, staffs emit defensive wards that mark the ground, emit balls of light, etc
Yikes! The voice overs are pretty bad in this game, did the actors phone their lines in or did they just get people from the office for the parts? the rest of the game looks good so this stands out like a sore thumb to me
i really dislike the fact, that events are dynamically scaling, depending on the number of players involved. imo, this concept does not fit in an mmorpg
The concept is fantastic. They have abandoned the monotonous routine of collecting quests, killing a few monsters , and turning it in. Instead they have created an engrossing experience where players can explore and encounter situations. It is a paradigm, and I am looking forward to it.

Actually this game WILL have world pvp but only if you choose it,what i mean by this is you can go to a place called Mists which are Week-long battles World vs World (something like server vs server) and where THOUSANDS of players battle it out in HUGE maps where you can capture fortresses and use lots of stuff.

This looks so fucking amazing. I wanna play as a Ranger all the time. Only Question: What´s with the Loot? I don´t want to have to run around ang get as much stuff as possible because otherwise someone else would take it away.
The loot gets shared. Like, if you kill a monster, everyone who actually attacked it can click on the monster after it's dead and get his own loot, which does not depend on the monster, but on the player who clicks on it, meaning everyone get DIFFERENT loost from the SAME monster.
Basically that means: NOBODY can steal your loot, there is NO need to hurry and get loot all the time.
i wish this game had 3 things- mounts, fractions, world pvp anywhere in the world with the opposing fraction not just one designated world pvp area. if this game had that i would play it 24/7

So it may be more up to date than the original guild wars, but it's not gonna be asking for the best requirements possible. They revealed the combat system, and it´s awesome. The game is called Guild Wars so I guess there are guilds and guild wars.And even without RvR and that stuff it simply would be the best MMORPG out there...
@mago1094 Yes, just like the original Guild Wars, there are guilds for people to join and guild battles that take place. Though in Gw2 there would be more warfare than ever before in the GW series.
Guild Wars actually refers to the lore of the game. The three human nations of Ascalon, Kryta, and Orr were at war (the third know Guild War) when the Searing happened, sinking Orr in the process, and ending the Guild Wars. Players are experiencing the world after the Guild Wars in GW1.
@Gamer777777 The ArenaNet team has mentioned several times that PvP is very important to them, however they've only released certain info as certain things are not ready to be announced yet. Things such as pvp will be announced later on but not until all the details are solid or solid enough that minor changes before release won't impact too much.
And many already know for certain that there really will be PvP, as in Gw1 it was always one of the hottest topic if not the hottest.
@emjaydoubleu88 Yes, the devs mentioned that events scale up depending on how many are involved. Such as The Shatterer event. Not only does it gain more hp and more AoE skills, but it also unleashes more minions.

And it's just a dragon that shows up at the level range of around 45+, not even an end-game boss, which is said to be at least twice as big as The Shatterer.
@RemovdSande11 This is only the default settings. The game is capable of using Directx 10 but not necessary, and has loads of other options as to how you'll see the game graphically just as in the trailers.

New features, new gameplay and new systems that just great but I truely hope that they're going to do a complete "CGI" overhual to improve the graphics quality. I'd love to be spoiled again by the mass amount of eye candies like I've seen in Final Fantasy 13. "Realism" is what will make players feel immensed in the game, otherwise the bond wouldn't be as strong and it feels like just a player controlling the char NOT you're IN the game playing, in my honest opinion
@XtremeOCer As in the Guild Wars series, they are trying to appeal to a larger population rather than just those with high-end gaming rigs. They want their engine to be the best possible without being too hard on mid ranged gaming PCs. So what they did is build their engine from the ground up. Together with the art team and engine team, they managed to make the game look fantastic without requiring much of the pc. And for those that want more visuals, they gave plenty of options to choose from.

The only problem I see at all is that Elementalists are lobbing fireballs/ice bolts rather than casting them professionally.
I hope the animation scales with level.

@jlkjkljkl no auto attack ... its mix of aiming and clicking you can do both hard to explain but also u can cast/shoot arrows while u run

@emjaydoubleu88 Yes, the devs mentioned that events scale up depending on how many are involved. Such as The Shatterer event. Not only does it gain more hp and more AoE skills, but it also unleashes more minions.

And it's just a dragon that shows up at the level range of around 45+, not even an end-game boss, which is said to be at least twice as big as The Shatterer.

@RemovdSande11 This is only the default settings. The game is capable of using Directx 10 but not necessary, and has loads of other options as to how you'll see the game graphically just as in the trailers.

Wenn du das bei 5:30 meinst, da sagt er nur dass der Typ der den char steuert mit anderen aus Washington zusammen spielt und sich per voice chat mit denen unterhält. Von einem "eingebauten" voice chat mit dem du direkt Spieler in der Umgebung ansprechen kannst ist aber nicht die Rede.

New features, new gameplay and new systems that just great but I truely hope that they're going to do a complete "CGI" overhual to improve the graphics quality. I'd love to be spoiled again by the mass amount of eye candies like I've seen in Final Fantasy 13. "Realism" is what will make players feel immensed in the game, otherwise the bond wouldn't be as strong and it feels like just a player controlling the char NOT you're IN the game playing, in my honest opinion

@XtremeOCer As in the Guild Wars series, they are trying to appeal to a larger population rather than just those with high-end gaming rigs. They want their engine to be the best possible without being too hard on mid ranged gaming PCs. So what they did is build their engine from the ground up. Together with the art team and engine team, they managed to make the game look fantastic without requiring much of the pc. And for those that want more visuals, they gave plenty of options to choose from.
