okay...i need a clarification. mass gainers...what are they? i have protein...whey protein, but i looked at a mass gainer (mass xxx) and the clerk said that it puts fat on so you can transfer to muscle faster...im confused...what the hell is the difference between them? and should an already muscular guy (200 pounds) take the mass gainer, or stick with the whey protein? which is better? does it depend of the composition of the person?
@pjayman123 Mass gainers are basically protein powder with added carbs (and sometimes fats.) Useful if you have problems eating enough calories (skinny people) or if preparing meal with the right macros is impossible (busy people.) Personally I don't use them as I find it easy to eat enough whole foods, I use powder protein post workout and occasionally if my meals are deficient in proteins. You cannot turn fat into muscle - the clerk was talking crap!

So the probabilities say that I actually am not a lazy fat ass. Attach the elastic band straps from the board to the base to make it more difficult.
I purchased this product about 5 years ago and within 6 months the rubber track wheels split into 10 pieces making the equipment useless.
I ended up modifying it, replacing the wheels with better ones and welding a weight holder to the board, adding 30kg to my workout. The elsastic bands are not that great.
I have an attachment that looks like its for crunches and stuff but everywhere Ive looked it lookes like it attaches to the bottom is there a way to attach it to the top area so I can do inclined crunches?
this workout bench is mostly a way to do upper body exercise w/o weights but you have the body resistance and the pulleys instead. There just not enough or any lower body work for the legs with the total gym. Its mostly like a lazy gym in that respect . Its important to engage better posture and pulling in abs which does not seem to be done by th edemo person. .
I bought one of these in 1998 and lost 60 pounds with it and bicycle riding. I eventually moved up to freeweights but I kept the TG for certain exercises.
I ended up selling it when I moved but I just bought another TG1000 and can't wait to get back on it. I think it's a great machine.
To be honest I don't think it will bulk you that much more, I used to weight train in HS and have since gained quite a bit of weight and lost mass. This I will assume will cause my muscles to atrophy to what they once were and further lean me out. I graduated at 165 and I'm 175..2 years later I estimate my BF at 16%
well when i first started using this was 2 months ago and i was 135 now im 170 and 7% and im at my fat stage it works you just have to change it up alot and to alot of reps

The TotalGym is an awesome piece of equipment for getting strong and gettin some definition.

Yeah i changed my diet to a perfect one and i do this every other day, and it WORKS very well. I choose this over the bowflex which just collects dust in the extra bedroom.
