I'd love to see Ralph Nader and Ron Paul sit down and debate. The thing I've noticed is this false paradigm of left vs right, Bush and Gore were as Nader said "Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum." That's how I felt about Obama and McCain. Nader and Paul though, that'd be a debate worth watching as the two GENUINELY disagree on several issues however, they both agree that the current system is screwed up.
SMMOOOOOTH... so if Obama's home district near Chikago, has over 10 % taxes, the highest unemployment and highest homicide rates, how is he qualified to lead the country? How can you trust a guy who makes deals with Rezko to get a better lot next to his house? OPEN THE DEBATES! Let the people hear the truth about these crooks. Obama fears opening the door to truth on the demise of American democracy. He's been bought.

As Martin Luther King said, "The question is not whether we will be extremist but what kind of extremist will we be.... Will we be extremists for the preservation of injustice--or will we be extremists for the cause of justice?" If Muslims like Nader, well they should, because he won't fund the Israeli occupation. Is it not extremist to jail & terrorize entire nations of people (the palestinians, the Iraqis, the Afghanis, etc.) in checkpoints with random fire and whatnot?
You don't know much, do you? Iraq was secular till we killed Saddam. Iran was secular till we installed the Shah, who was overthrown by a secular revolutionary movement which was later taken over by sheiks. Turkey's gov't is secular. I could fine other examples if I had time. Btw, there's lots of discrimination against muslims and jews in the U.S. army. Read the news more often.
Qheck your with your state electoral officials. You may have to sign a petition to get him on the ballot. Don't worry, there's one out there. There is still time. Remember in November to Vote Ralph Nader!
The fact that ppl like Ralph Nader and Noam Chomsky exist and thrive in the US is a testament to its greatness. The fact that most Americans don't seem to act/listen is a testament to its shame. And every one else's dismay.
Vote: Ralph Nader in '08! Write in Noam Chomsky for VP!
RE:"Haha while I'm sure Chomsky will vote for Nader I can guarantee you he will never join politics." Good call, most likely. But America: Do not take that bet! Don't be as cynical as my Cdn. sibling, go ahead and write NC in for VP. One to clean up your air, the other your foreign policy. Remember in November, vote for Ralph Nader in '08! Check with your state electoral official soon, to make sure RN is on the ballot. Also to ensure that the NC 'write in' won't 'spoil' the ballot in your state.
lol, 'lambasting"! Heh, Mr. Chomsky 'lambastes' everyone, Ralph Nader can take it. At least he is most certainly not a thief or a liar. And no one can deny that the Freedom of Information Act and Clean Water Drinking Act are considerable accomplishments involving Ralph Nader on behalf of the American people. I doubt Noam Chomsky "hates" Ralph Nader. Consensus on every last single issue is impossible. 'Just enough' will do. And Ralph Nader '08 would certainly respect America's Constitution.
Chomsky clearly says "I like him and known him for a long time, like what he stands for and does, but I really think he's making a mistake." If you're going to cite a video to make a point, you should probably watch and understand what's being said in it first.
Chomsky and Zinn and Mike Moore are all on the same boat on this one. They are all a bunch of hypocrite sell-outs. It is a classic debate tactic to first praise your opponent and then point out why he is wrong. If he indeed loves what Ralph is doing then he wouldn't OPPOSE Ralph.
America! Shake off the shackles of your polyarchy! Vote Ralph Nader in '08! And write in Noam Chomsky for VP for good measure. One to clean up your air, the other your foreign policy. Don't do it for the world, do it for the US!
This is the only guy that would change this country if he was president. Unfortunately this country is full of dumb mother-fuckers who think McCain and Obama aren't corporate whores.
Watching this on C-span was my kind of fireworks after I saw Ralph Nader on the 4th of July I really felt like celebrating our independence. He gives me hope and I hope he gets in the presidential debates.I know he can beat Obama and Mccain in any debate. He can win if he gets a chance. We the people not we the corporations right on President Nader!
Didn't people notice that they let Nader on C-SPAN on the 4th of July when hardly anyone is in their home watching T.V., that they are mostly outside watching fireworks or grilling, etc?.....They must really think he's a threat to the powers that be.
Well, C-SPAN is owned by the cable companies, so yeah I'm sure they found the worst possible time slot for Ralph, though it does have some symbolic value.
i dont think thats fair. If c-span felt that way they wouldnt let nader on anyway-just like the corporate mainstream media. Instead they let on Ron Paul, Bob Barr, ralph nader, including many other people who would never have any other medium to reach the public other than c-span and washington journal.
THIS is the man who should be President right now for American and world reasons. Steadfast, articulate, owned by nobody, a believer in the Constitution, which is all we have to defend us in the midst of the capitalist end-game. Obama's vote on FISA spying laws was "it" for me. I'm voting Nader with a clear conscience. If it brings on McCain, that way too will serve to teach this empire of ours some real humanity. More unpleasant though.

Any thing too extreme is just another form of extremism, i believe Nader and Noam Chomsky are extremist.
And these kinda people also give a fertilizing ground for Islamic.
Islamist get lots of sympathy from people like Nader and Chomsky. which i feel is not good for America.

I thought I already responded to this? Chomsky hates Nader. He's on youtube from 2004 supporting Kerry and lambasting Nader's run.
