The same way you would (the same way i do) on any classic hardware sampler brother (including the older mpc/S models), 1stly if the sample sounds good already you move the bpm to fit the sample, if its lower then 70bpm or higher then 100bpm you will need to pitch the sample up or down (which makes the sample larger or smaller) to keep it soundin' like hip hop music, some samplers and most software(not mpa at the mo) even has timstretch and u can use a formular to work out bpm.
@ceetheproducer regardless of the whole bpm thing a lot of people pitch samples up or down just to adjust there sound and to be honest you do have a bit more play regarding bpm with samples you have chopped as 1 shot samples as reverb or even layering the same sample in reverse at lower vol and slightly after the original can give a bit more length if need on a 1shot sample but as this was the limited beta version of mpa i didn't really have enough freedom to really take it there with 1shots.
Hey man on that asrx tip I'd recommend a mpc2000. The asr series is awesome as long as you have a zip drive. The learning curve is the worst part. And finding manuals is hard.
@greencarpet i did own an mpc2000 before and i know a few guys who rock the mpc2000 and 2000xl, there awsome but to be honest neither really intrest me as there (here in the uk at least) by far the most popular choice for most people who are goin' for the retro beatmaking on hardware experience, there dope but i'm lookin' to own somthing a little differnt (but still funtional). the asrs do intrest me (maybe nostaligly to a degree? as i have childhood memorys of playing my dads friends asr10).
What's up Cee? I found you on a forum talkin' about this app & you were really a big help in my decision to get an android. I don't really need a new phone, but since I'm about to upgrade and add mobile to my production rep, I needed to make a smart decision on what I'd choose. A million thanks. MB.
this is the illest beat for this app that i've heard so far.......this app is sick!!!!! :)
