  • i'd have dumped a 4 bolt chevy 350 with a 383 stroker kit in this little monster

  • can i buy one of those in the US?

  • @JOsEGoMeZ211 A cool car or a Green viva?

  • Do you have any info on the build of this? I love seeing old cars like this turned into monsters.

My old man had a cream hb viva back in the mid eighties. Dam thing wouldnt start in the cold mornings and I remember having to help him bump start it every sodding day lol. I would love to get hold of that car now and do some serious modifications to it.

  • yeah did it all myself so....4.6 rover,LT77 5 speed box, 4 linked scimitar rear axle with jag powerlok diff machined to fit.Interior is pretty much as standard as its only done 40k from new!

  • @v8viva that thing is sweet but some SS cragars would complete the look

  • @69Cabeast yeah your not wrong there dude. Its so very difficult getting wheels with the right offset that dont cost the earth/rub the arch's etc

  • nice car gay rims though

  • its the gayness that appeals to me to be fair

  • lol your car i guess whats the paint called by the why

  • its kawasaki green...thought i'd be different!

  • might get a few extra HP by putting slightly bigger pipes on that baby!

  • 4.6 rover is being built as we speak!

  • lovely motor, would look better with smaller classic slot mags in my opinion. have just bought a vauxhall victor for a grand. can't wait to do stuff to it but gonna take a while to save up the pennies!

  • kool by the way, has anyone heard any news on the Baldy Van?

  • well this was worth £200 when i got it and £3-4k now so i guess i wont be complaining. If you've got the skills put em on show i say

  • My dad has an original HB Viva GT in Lemonze Blue, all original parts and colour, interior etc. once You start messin' with these cars the value goes down in figures that open your mouth

  • not allways true

  • Love it! I had my front number plate in the same place too (but silver on black)!

Only thing I`d change is the grille, I always thought the deluxe one looked too puny & let it down. The SL or GT one would `muscle` it up nicely!

  • Rover v8?

  • yeah only a baby 3.5 for now

  • Nice, is it a stock rover v8? what times have you had on the strip?

  • stock rover with mallory dual point and weber 500 carb.Ran in the 15's but putting a cam in over the winter as is bogs down mid track.Got a 4.6 rover but doubt if it will be in for this summer.

Raced jeff harris's lad in the summer in his mk2 escort and got well and truly put in my place!

  • Nice one!! Get the 4.6 in asap! My father built a v8 magnum with a 4.6 and had a race cam, went 14.0 @100 wheelspinning through second, a slight misfire and a sherpa gearbox from the scrapyard!

  • Fab paint job...xx

  • It was Painted at Gardener motors in wellingborough northants and i was well pleased with the job they did

  • Beutifull!

Although the wheels look a little to larger diametre, it sits to tall on them for my taste and for centre of garavity maybe?

    15" wheels, wide ones.

    What say u?

    what size r the wheels?

  • Wrong bits in all the right way!

    Truly brilliant!

    Love it.

  • Cheers...glad you approve

  • Gotta say - those are the wrong wheels for the car.

  • And of course the wrong engine, gearbox, axle, exhaust, brakes, steering etc etc.

If you have the right one's maybe you could drop them off to me?

    Gary
