  • This is for that woman who said that: Gason ayisyen pa care de fanmi yo! it's because of that her father didn't give a danm about his family and probably because she never had the chance to get a good haitian man. What she doesn't know is that we can not judge all for some. Kite nou.

  • @wugufugu, I ain't done yet:

    * violence to women or children: This happens everywhere around the world. Since Haiti is small country of 8 milliion, the frequency of domestic violence is no where near a big country like, say...United States

Who's to blame? If western powers would let Haiti develop, instead of trying to make it a neo-liberal colony while pretending to wanna help, it would be in a better condition.

    You're such an idiot.

  • @wugufugu, These western countries tried to blame Haitian for the AIDS virus, yet their homos, heroine attacks, and hemophiliacs were already dying from it.

    * level of education: Haitians in America usually out-perform other Blacks in school. That's why Haitians are usually accused of thinking they're better.

    * child mortality: Haiti's child mortality rate is better than most African countries.

    * By crime: did you know that Jamaica is the murder capital of the Caribbean?

    (To be continue...)

  • @blakjak38

keep speaking(typing in this case) the truth! my people always get the bad end of the spectrum . its sad. i remember when i was a kid i used to hide that i was haitian because i didnt want to be clowned or beat up(when i moved from miami to Maryland in the late 80's).its funny tht most maryland folks didnt have any idea of the issues that i had in miami so i was a mad little defensive kid! smh lol anyway keep up the good work with what youre saying!

  • @wugufugu, to bad your account is now closed, so your dumbass can't learn something from what I'm gonna say: First of all, the UNESCO, EU, US are controlled by the same racist crackers who purposely ignored Haiti after its independence. It has always been their covert agenda to make Haiti look bad and compromise its progress--even when they pretend to be helping Haiti through occupation disguised as humanitarian aid. So how can you trust their reports.

    (To be continue...)

  • @cherizaj

Fi lot nasyon yo konn marye ak gason ayisyen. Se yon pwoblem moun ak moun.

  • She speaks beautiful creole but I wish there was closed-captioning or a translaton.

  • i LOVE the way the host speaks creole lol wish i could speak it like her

  • It kills me every time i see Haitian people trying to find a reason to say that there is something wrong with themselves. It does not matter where you from, all men are dogs and all women are cats we need to find a common ground in other to get along period.

  • That's not even true most Haitian guys have no respect for women what so ever, so why should she put up with his crap.

  • I'm a haitian woman born and raised in Haiti and I only date outside of my race I plan on marrying my bf who happens to be of irish descent. It has been very difficult dating outside of my race due to my family's negative views on women dating outside of their race.

  • no matter what our parents say, we will always do what we want, we just need to stop reflecting on the past and look foward period. preference is not a law, you choose who you like, and if they like you good, if not ,oh well. we,the world , need to stop being so 'close minded', it is hard to find a good friend, finding a good girl or boyfriend is just as hard, no matter your race

  • May I ask 2 questions; as an American man in his 40's who has always loved haitian women, but find all the ones I talk to in florida having no interest in me, why do haitian women not try dating american men? Many of us have completely different attitudes towards women than your men do. Maybe all men are not the same. My ex-girlfriend is from haiti, and none of her sisters or female cousins are respected by their men! What will it take for haitian women to try a different race?

  • it is because of questions like yours, Haitian women are not interested in you. I'm guessing you're white? WHy not date an african-american woman since you're into black women.

  • Well man although you are attracted to Haitian women, that shouldn't be the only reason you're interested in one particular girl. I'm black and my gf is white, do I like white girls? sure, do I ONLY like white girls? of course not. But I sure LOVE this one. Look bro if you're that desperate, get a mail-order-bride lol jk. Good luck and look beyond the color

  • Pakua42,

it has a lot to do with how Haitian women were raised. Haitian women are taught from a young age to choose Haitian men; if the man isn't Haitian then he must be black. The strange thing is, Haitian men are not really taught that hence they date outside their race and no one says nothing...but if a Haitian female did it, you best bet that she will have to hear it from everyone.

    I am speaking from experience....

  • kathaiti,

I appreciaye your honest response. But please...tell me, who is "everyone", and why would they not want their friend or daughter to marry white, either in Haiti or especially in America. What sense is there in that? To me, its a way of keeping people down. Besides in haiti, I am aware that most are judged by class and wouldnt marrying inter-racially be a way to transcend that? Why wouldnt a father want a rich white man over a poorer haitian man for his daughter? (if thats the case)

  • Everyone refers to every Haitian that were born and raised in Haiti...I still date outside my race, no matter what anyone says...they can give me dirty looks all they want, I DON'T CARE!

  • Zoktoro,

you do make a good point. In Haiti people are judged by class hence this is why you see wealthy Haitians ONLY marrying wealthy Haitians. Also, don't assume that mulatto/Arab/white Haitians make up the elite becuz they do not, there are blacks who are part of that class.

It is also true that most light-skinned Haitians only marry light-skinned Haitians, same goes for blacks. This is due to racism and the legacy of colonialism but that is a whole nother story...

  • Yep i am thought too have a haitian husband or marry someone who is black...but do bad i am not gonna do dat cause i have a great hispanic boo

  • Haitians are racist period they talk down on other blacks I have encounter so many Haitians who talk negativiely about African Americans.

  • Beauty2Beauty,

that's due to the fact that other blacks were hostile towards us. I grew up in New York in the 80s, and back on those days, if u said u were Haitian, u were sure to get a beat down! Even other Caribbean people were racist towards Haitians!

  • Nah I dont mean it like that some Haitians just dont like African Americans they consider them beneth them. I understand the struggles haitians had to face in America before making a name for themselves but yall gotta admit the fact that you guys belittle alot of people.

  • And that is becuz people belittle us...some of the popular names for Haitians were HBO (Haitian Bad Odor) and boat people.

I assume that you are African American and I hope that u are aware that AA were one of the people that made being Haitian difficult. So if we cum across rude, know that it is rooted from somewhere.

  • Haitians call each other boats more then anyone else I know of

  • That's from your experience. But from my experience, AA, and Jamaicans were the ones that gave me a hard time. Surprisingly, whites were nice to me.

  • @cherrythung And that's just your opinion....you must be a Haitian man....reading from your username you scream ghetto ignorance.

  • Okay let's just drop this because it will go on and on and one and we'll agree to disagree.

  • @kathaiti true true, its more so a matter of skin color to them! other blacks are so stuck in there riffs between light skin and dark skin while we retain who are are in escence!

  • @kathaiti

i know exactly what youre talking about. i was born in miami and we got hated on too in the 80's. i remember hearing haitian kids getting beat up just for being haitian. someon told me that in nyc they had "haitian fridays" where the beat haitians up!! smh WOW! and yes im a ZOE(haitian) born in LIL Haiti(Miami).

  • True..I went to this Carimi concert and this Haitian woman tried to talk slicked and I called her out on it...then she was like "I didn't mean it like that". Yeah right...

  • @Pakua42

Haitian women are not really into interracial relationship if the men don't marry them. They are just scared i guess but when the men marry them, they feel more secure.
