  • Chutttiya

  • Hypocrite guru... shame to real Indians with stupid analogies and crappy logic. Assole ran away from India when people came to know he is a fraud. Fake ass gurus are Disgrace to humanity and to life itself.

  • Zen is to understand yourself. Koans are the way to do it. When you see and hear clearly, without confusion of random thoughts then your formal Zen koans study is over. To know ultimate Zen is to arrive to a point where attachment to thinking is cut off and your awareness is free from this attachment. You see blue sky, red flower and hear murmur of a brook and you reflecting all these without opinion or view like a mirror. You are still and you remind in samadhi 24/7. Then no hindrance anywhere.

  • The one bit cant understand the whole book.

    That is so true!!!

  • hey u chew lots of books and shed cheap talk,,,it seems u r more in delusion,,,better go to a true teachr and experince the zen,,u hindu people are mixing everything,,,,u r a cheap ass hole

  • ok again the problem here is a person putting them self in a place of power in a religion. with zen we are to believe there is no self there is no other. by this guy getting his head so far up his own ass he should not be fallowed to begin with, no one should be "fallowed" as we westerners tend to do to no matter what.

any one has something to say tho this hit me up on fb if you really wanna discuss this(brian leary)

  • slow down man more like osho

  • He's got the basic right idea, but he blinks too much for an enlightened man. He also has not practiced what he has preached, always a bad sign, and bad karma.

  • Fucking bastard scoundrel,, He was caught red handed, molesting teen girls

Remove these videos because Zen is a philosophy of pure souls rather such bastards..

  • he is a fucking bastard ,, caught redhanded doing forelicking with girls

  • Hey Rajashekharan (a.k.a.) Nithyananda, you started demonstrating Kama Sutras and Vatsayana Shastras. You bastard son of a bitch, you should be hanged till death for cheating peoples faith.

  • just like what sadhguru is saying you can't do meditation. you can be in a meditative mood but not do meditation, it just happens. these truths from enlightened beings is just uplifting

  • Danebat

  • los koanes no son mantras, el sujeto que habla no sabe de lo que habla

  • por favor pongan subtitulos es español¡¡

  • Comment removed

  • why don't you people say something about the latest sex scandal about the above mentioned "swamiji' (courtesy -kannada news channel). right now he is hiding like a common criminal !!!!!!!

  • He proved to be biggest asshole in the history.

He should be hanged till death for cheating.

  • Let us take responsibility for our own spiritual growth.......awaken (try it)....

  • Awakening cannot be done, it just happens or not happens..

  • you can assist it... but not force it...

  • the problem is not with seeking knowledge or seeking no knowledge, the problem is that you're still seeking ... solution? -> just sit down, and shut up, then youll know yourself without all of your mental garbage interfering with the process

  • @Zigahertz but I am of the impression that those who do not wish to seek enlightenment will not obtain it.....doesn't make sense as I type it but it's there as a thought I am tripped upon.

  • ive never heard osho talk about zen koans

  • this is good shit

  • It's really good that he looks at other traditions that Gurus generally don't. It seems a lot of time Gurus speak of Christianity or Islam, if they're forward thinking. Very well spoken :)

  • but one page cantttt underrrrrrrstand the whole book

  • its boring for you coz you are using logic here:D

  • yeah rajkann osho was one of the enlightened masters.....still, horses for courses

  • a lot of us are the third monkey, always checking, wanting quick fix solutions

  • hehe, speak the logic of the unlogical things....

  • Hay will ya keep it down ..I'm trying to sleep...

  • I find this persons white teeth comical.

  • God bless you & thank you for talking about urself. All of us can see that u are still tied in the Gross world. These enlighten masters are rare.

  • How can you say for certain what i may or may not be tied to with my seven words here?

please reply I would like to know.

  • well said!

  • Thank you for posting another great video. I only hope that some of the other people who have commented can see past their senses and realize there's more to 'you' than your body and thoughts. Where do they come from? What makes it possible to be 'alive'? Those are my questions I seek answers to... are there specific videos on those topics?

  • good man :)

  • what copy of OSHO. Good copy; even the hissing sound he makes makes me think of that old master. Need original thinkers; no plagiarism please.

  • Zen (Japanese: 禅) is a school of Mahāyāna Buddhism notable for its emphasis on mindful acceptance of the present moment. A broader term is the Sanskrit word "dhyana", which exists also in other religions in India.

As you all know Buddhism is from Vedic base.

  • Zen comes from the word Dhyan which in Sanskrit means meditation. Zen is an offshoot of Sanathana Dharma, the eternal truth which has existed on planet earth eternally.

  • Sounds like he is a practitioner of Indian religion trying to analyze Japanese Zen.

Very little zen in what he says.

  • Koan is to tire the logical faculties of the mind...to allow space for intuitive faculties.. by

by trying to solve the koan, logic fails and mind allows room for intuition and wisdom.

    His meaning is correct.

  • good coment melquiadesthegrey .

some guy sittin round in his pyjamas talking nonsense, and i gave him a bit of time..

people are lookin for a way, a meaning. and theres a new guru who is the expert of everything springing up every day.

    look, but dont buy!

  • This is just a man in an orange tablecloth giving his opinion on the opinion of others.

    ---

I'm off to make some veggie soup.

  • sure he has an opinion like everyone else, but one bourne out of hundreds of hours of meditating and studying, so his opinion about zen is something maybe others can learn from. If I wanted to learn about horse riding, maybe I should hear about the opinions from a cowboy or jockey, or somebody who has ridden a horse a lot, got it? But if that isnt important to you, then of course, god bless you and enjjoy the soup

  • thank you Swamiji

  • Swamiji, I love your "small stories". This 3rd monkey story is perfect! Thank you Swmamiji

  • if all things return to the one, to where does the one return?

  • If there`s only one left, theres nothing to return to.

  • Sometimes an ass needs to be kicked. I don't want to harm homeborn but i do want to shake him out of his very limited ideas. I am not saying he is not ready. I am saying his ideas will prevent him and limit him. He must be open, that is a fact.

  • I tried. I really tried.

    :)

He seems to be stuck with an idea about 'god' and imagines that everyone has the same idea about God and everyone is therefore incorrect.

    Can you suggest anything?

  • Here's the sound of one hand clapping, *clap* *clap*. Hehe, sorry. :-D Seriously, I love this guy, I find his words and presence so enlightening and uplifting. He's funny too. Thanks LifeBlissFoundation. :-)

  • This guy is sooo wise... and he's funny.

  • Ichi Wa Zen, Zen Wa Ichi.

  • I'd love to have my brain washed. It's got so much useless shit and dirt in there.

You have an idea of what God is. But your idea is not God. God is "the ultimate reality in which all possibilities are arising", even your ideas.

Contemplate that for a few minutes.

  • thats ironic you telling me about god and

in the same breath telling me your brain has so much useless shit and dirt.

    God is made by man

  • "God is the ultimate reality in which all possibilities are arising"

What do you think about that statement?

  • Its pathetic

  • Let me try and help you to understand it.

It means that 'god' which is just a word by the way. You have a very definite idea of what the word god means in your mind but it is just a word and an idea. But that statement means that God is everything and yet dependent on nothing and also defined by nothing.

    Now do you get it?

    :)

  • God is made by man

There is no God you brainwashed twit

    watch?v=R-bVhIsMTYA

  • You could just as easily say you don't get it. That's ok. I'd now advise you to start to read a few books. Start with an easy one of course.

'The cat in the hat' could be good. It rhymes, you'll like that.

Then in about fifteen thousand lifetimes you'll be ready for the Upanishads.

    God bless you my son.

    :)

  • the human race are sheep

  • Baaa, i don't agree with you.

    :)

  • God in form of a man with long beard in the clouds yes... but even the bible says that you cant see feel smell or think god. You are basking in god god is what keeps you alive

  • god is the greatest brainwashing of all

How can u believe something written in a book in the days of the barbarians

  • thats what i mean the god that im talking about is nothing like things you have ever heard actually it is a NOthing.

  • if is is NOthing then it is Not god

  • lol why you go suddenly in numbers lol spirituality is not math

  • Logic does not restrain us at all, though I see what he's trying to say. I say that logic is somewhat limited by knowlege. To understand the whole we must let go and stop "picking and choosing". This way we may come in tune with the ultimate logic which is passive and unattached. letting go of logic is logically understanding that we cannot understand the whole with logic which is logic within itself.

Without this, people will misinterpret and and may believe that it is okay to be illogical.

  • "A koan is One word"

Is this the hindu new age misconception of koan and zen?

A koan is a question without an intellectual answer.

    "you can't generalize" still...

It's sad when new age gurus need hijack zen like this.

Wish he had done his homework.

  • think he meant a phrase. something to contemplate on repeatedly, like a mantra

  • then who is experiancing all including youre thoughts that there is no ONE

  • that everything comes and goes but the 1 that see it all come and go is really you. Let it be emotion event a thought nothing last forever thats why its empty but the 1 that sees it all was there and will always be there

  • that there is more than logic!! that there is more than you ever will KNOW but you CAN experience it cause life is nothing more than a experience empty tru and tru

  • atleast i have an idea of satori.. but wait if can understand it its logic and logic cant grasp the whole... aaaaaa goddamn it so hard to act without logic

  • Good video. Thank you, LifeBlissFoundation.

  • Well, you just come on here questioning people and looking for arguements. Its just redictulous.

  • sarichyboy, settle down.

  • Great video, we bow to the Lotus Feats of the Guru

  • In the 11th Cent. C.E. Chinese Zen/Chan Master Xuedou wrote in his Blue Cliff Record collection of koans, "A single hand does not make the sound of waves." 600 years later, Japanese Zen master Hakuin followed this up by saying, "What is the sound of one hand."

  • other thing i love about this dude is his explanation that certain mental states are conducive and raise the probability. cause ive heard other ppl say there is absolutely zero that can be done. and that was always a depressing view i thought.

  • sarichyboy, i dunno what other ppl got from it but i loved how he explained that koans are a gimmick. something i always suspected but never heard anyone else say. and that stuff about koans working while you are taking a dump and the stuff about the married dude in the asylum was so funny hehe

  • logic... what the Greeks have done to us

  • I disagree.

Logic is not a bad thing - it's more the action of trying to capture the world under our control that leads to problems. So no, the Greeks, and Aristotle in particular, 'invented' a marvellous concept. If only people could really understand logic and use it efficiently - the lust for power, control, for more and more, is what ruins the world. Not logic.

  • It is logical to want to be superior then other people as it logically makes you have a better life in the material world. Logic is a way of thinking that blocks your mind from another path.

  • What? This is not logic you're talking about, but greed.

I recommend reading Oliver James' "The Selfish Capitalist" for a better insight on what you mistakenly call as 'better life in the material world'.

  • no one says logic is bad... but this Indian guy is saying that you cannot understand the truth of your being, or the truth of existence with logic. For example, it is not logical thought that tells our hearts to beat, or that formed our complex brains. Our entire being already knows the truth of our brains, while logic only seeks to DESCRIBE the processes of the brain with science, for example.

  • excellent

  • Logic is not the appropriate word here. I would say skepticism and/or empiricism and/or materialism are more fitting.

  • Beautifully stated

  • A haircut would be nice

  • What is his Zen/Chan training?

  • You wouldn't want to know.

  • I would like to know. I am guessing, he never met any serious Zen/Chan teacher and just read some books...

  • I think that if you can´t see it.. or feel it

then you are a blindsoul my friend...

  • wow this guy ROCKS

    so funny too haha

  • thanks alot for uploading this video, My life is better now... I wish someone would teach me this when I was a pre teen--- me hubiera ahorrado muchos enojes/dolores/ innecesarios..

  • Great Teeth...heh heh heh. Who´s his dentist?

  • I like this video, as always swamiji is a magnetic person.Always something to learn and feel good about.Thank you very u tube team.

  • I am always amazed anew at Swamiji's brilliant intelligence; I always leave his talks with a broader mind and a deeper heart.

  • 29 years old. Amazing man. Speaks like a 65 years old guru.

  • Age is really no criteria for an Enlightened Master for an Enlightened one has access to all knowledge and wisdom of the cosmos. Besides all, it is something He has personally experienced and hence can eloquently and effortlessly transmit to the rest of the world.

  • When He will come to USA, Los Angeles ?

Are they conferences public and free ?

    Thanks.

  • Swamiji will return to the US later this month. We will post details of public events on the website, so stay tuned. All public discourses are free.

  • pure brilliance

  • Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendentsl Meditation is the most effective effortless form of meditstion that I have found.

  • Don't be talkative. Zen is to die and nothing more.

You are living so fully and foolly! I will listen to you only when you are dead. Sorry if offending.

  • Sorry but Zen is neither. Zen has no need to correct.

  • I was a fool.

  • The view that "Zen is to die" is a onesided view of Zen called "being trapped in the dark cave." "Zen is to die" is only a first step to get beyond logic & concepts. Zen says the two-edged sword kills and brings life. Until you also know "Zen is to live." you don't know Zen.

  • Sorry but takakazushin is dead.

  • what a fantastically eloquent teacher.

  • Swamiji keeps you glued to him....ahhh...

  • enjoyed it. interesting.

  • Karate kid that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. What a sweet accent N. has!

  • i know of a case once where the monks volunteered to be kicked in the face by a horse to show how they could stand the pain and to increase the density of bones in their face. they also take steroids.

  • Something about seeing this clip then reading your post just made me die laughing. Hah!

  • Yep, monks will do some crazy shit because they got too much time on their hands and they get bored...haha

  • I've been watching these sessions for a while and am thinking about attending one of the lectures in person sometime. It has been impressive. There is genuine wisdom and knowledge expressed here and I would recommend this teacher.
