@ddog5858 Yes to both questions! We have exclusive possession of these films! Trying to raise funds to produce a feature length doc with them. There's an assembly here on our channel- title is:
Could any body tell me who the man Natalie's is with is? He appears with her in several occasions of your 1965 tapes. Anyway, thank you so much for posting these lovely videos of our beloved Natalie.
@franditaNYC Happy to- from another loyal fan! His name is Ladislav Blatnik. He was engaged to her in '65. The following year she met Richard Gregson. They had a brief marriage in the early '70s, that produced a daughter. 3 months after divorcing Gregson, she remarried Wagner. BTW- Natalie is and always will be my one true love! My wife doesn't mind I was 5 when this footage was shot- and 21 when she died... so I could be her son!
Yes Daisy Clover I will have to get it out and view it again, but I really don't remember that scene, there is the scene around the pool where Redford announces that he asked her to marry him, thats the one I remember, and of course the wonderfull scene with Christopher Plummer where he has Natalie in his arms and talks to her while she sleeps, I love that scene.
@plummerfan80 I'll have to look too! Sometimer's disease strikes again... maybe the scene was cut from the finished picture, but I seem to remember it... just might be confusing it with this footage!
I remember Redford talking about the pool scene in an interview with AMC, about how he didn't realize till years later how deathly afraid of the water Natalie was, and yet she still went through with the scene like the professional that she was. Amazing, amazing footage of (and by) amazing, amazing people!
@evancortez2 That's so terrific! Wish that AMC still focused on classic movies... at least they gave us "Mad Men"! I was a child of the advertising business in NYC in the early 60s...
@soapbxprod --these home movies are so wonderful. Thanks so much for sharing soapbxprod. I have been saying that about AMC for years--bring the old movies BACK--PLEASE! And I love MAD MEN also. All the best!
@SHRINA17 Mad Men is the story of my life. I was born in 1960. My father, Toby Sacher, was a copywriter at Ted Bates under Jerry Della Femina, and my mom, Carole Langer- account exec- and stepdad, Andrew Langer- art director- were at Doyle Dane Bernbach under Roy Grace, Bob Gage, Helmut Krone, and of course Bill Bernbach...
Your (Roddy's) videos are amazing. What fantastic moving historical documents. Have you thought about adding sound to them (as accurate as possible with the necessary embellishments, of course) and releasing them as a feature film? A surefire festival favorite!! If nothing else, this one belongs on the "Daisy Clover" DVD / Blu-ray. Thanks for sharing!! One of the best things I've discovered on youtube in a long, long time...
@ed7hanke Thanks for the kind words- we're intending to do just that, as soon as we can find a backer- either one of the networks that we've produced for in the past, or an independent. if you look around our channel, you can see the features that we've made over the years, as well as a preliminary assembly titled "Hollywood 1965"- please look us up on the iMDB (internet movie database)! Carole Langer and Luke Sacher
Gosh, I always loved Roddy McDowall. Had the pleasure of meeting him in a workshop in mid-80's. What a great guy, and how wonderful/smart of him to leave these GREAT home movies in the hands of someone like yourself to share them the way you have. I'll bet Roddy is smiling right now! It will take some time...but I am going to work thru them all. So awesome. Much thanks.
@wildman0228 Thanks SO MUCH for your kindness! Roddy was a good friend- we were introduced to him by Janet Leigh when we made her biography in 1996. There's a great interview with Roddy here on our channel, shot in Janet's dining room.
@soapbxprod When you look at Natasha now, she has the short hair most of the time--I meant that she looks like Natalie did then--and I never really thought they resembled each other that much as women.
@MovieMusicFun1 If you search our channel, soapbxprod, Hope is in many of our clips! Her son, Chris Murray, is also in them, and he and we are planning to make a feature length documentary from them!
Anyone know if that is Alan J. Pakula at 1:11 with the sweater on standing with Christopher Plummer and Hope Lange? Also, at 1:47 sitting with Hope Lange.
@wakkadastadio Nothing to envy- It's Ken Burns that we BOTH ought to envy! And his work today is thouroughly moribund- yet, he gets ALL the funding! My only question is- WHY? LOL! I live on the East Coast, and have not been to Los Angeles in a long time- but when I return, I will put a flower on Joan Crawford's cement for you! All my love, Luke
@wakkadastadio And Love to you too! I was in Milan only once, in 1992, to work as Assistant Cameraman for a Japanese Director of Photography. we stayed at the Diana Majestic! we traveled to Como and Cernobbio and filmed there too- stayed at Villa D'Este! LOVE Italia!
That must be great to have CP as a subscriber. I have nearly all his films on dvd or video except Oedepus the King . So glad the BBC are bringing out the Hamlet he did for TV in 1964, I have ordered that already. Have you any interviews or more films with Christopher in I would love to see them. Love your channel.
@plummerfan80 Thank you! No- unfortunately we do not have any more footage of Mr. Plummer- but we earnestly hope that he will participate in the making of a feature length documentary!

@soapbxprod Sadly enough I heard that after Natalie died, RJ ran into Laddie in Switzerland or somewhere like that, and he had fallen on hard times. He committed suicide not long after.
@alvastarr1 Yes- I believe that's true... next time we speak to RJ we will try to find a way to ask him. Did he write about that in his book? Or maybe talk about it in an interview?
@soapbxprod Chrisopher Plummer's on YT?! I can't get over this. Half Hollywood and the world is using social networks and all of the rest that the web has to offer! Twitter for instance. Lovit! Quite different to 1965 though! (o:
@KETTYKISH We are SO flattered! He narrated the big TCM doc, "Moguls and Move Stars", that premiered this year and has been nominated for three Primetime Emmys- like our 1999 biography of the Rat Pack- which is here on our channel!
@soapbxprod Flattered? I bet! I will have to check out the "Moguls and Movie Stars" doc! And I've seen the Rat Pack clips, but haven't actually watched them. Don't know them that well. I was never a huge huge follower. But will watch them and the new clips!
@mbluth1 Do you mean the man sitting with Natalie on the front bumper, and then carrying her in his arms to her trailer? No, that was her boyfriend at the time- don't know his name!
