dude i checked out your diet, and your supplements include creatine monohydrate & BCAA. Seeing as creatine is only found in animal muscle tissue, this isn't a vegan product. Also, the highest concentrations of BCAAs are found in whey protein, & as a result whey protein is what is used in supplement production to source the BCAA's, therefore this isn't vegan either. Do you not count supplements as part of your vegan diet? I'm not criticising or anything, i was just wondering.
Study up my man. Supplemental creatine is not derived from animals, its synthetic. There are vegan sources of BCAA's, not all BCAA's are made from whey protein. I did count supplements as part of my former vegan diet. My diet is now plant-BASED, which would be considred vegetarian. All the best - Troy
helll yeaaaa. i was wondering... after 2 yrs of me being vegan, i have lost 80 lbs. i do brazilian jiu jitsu, but i wimp out after like an hour. i need to add lifting to my game for more power. thanks for the inspiration!
I've been a member of SGI for over 15 years and I had never thought of chanting at the gym. I think I should give it a try. "nam-myoho-renge-kyo"
The mystic law of cause and effect
By the way..for anyone reading this, if you believe in "the secret", chant this phrase and focus on what you want and in time it will manifest. Give it a try : )
Dude, it makes me feel weak to watch this. I'm definitely gonna have to step up on my weight. I too am partial to some of the exercises you do - the dip (which I perform much slower), dumbbell bench (flat, decline, and incline), and the pull up. But dude, there is no way I can do them all of them in the same workout to the fullest. I doubt I can press more than 160 pounds with dumbbells. But I am inspired now. And I am a dedicated meat eater, although I try to get my share of fruits and veggies.
Very interesting. I have been lifting weights for a few years now, and recently I began eating more raw foods (mostly fruits) and eating less meat, while cutting my overall caloric intake. I'm trying to trim up a bit. I thought I would lose strength, but it hasn't happened. My workouts are just about as intense - slightly less because I've incorporated some cardio. And now at the end of my second week, I seem to recover quickly. Sometimes not even getting sore, whereas before I would.
Very good, I still have yet to see a compition level vegan lifter, but your doing well concidering your diet. I have a weak chest, I actually only do 90lb dumbells- but I'm 16. Also, my dumbell curl is 110lb. But yeah, never seen that strong of a vegan(that is to say one who actually does more that me on a move). If you get up to curling 100lb dumbells I promise to become a vegan. Till then, I'm sticking to the easy way to get strong.
I have a lot of respect for vegan, and it is very inspiring to see a vegan that do bodybuilding and being strong. I do bodybuilding i am a vegeterian for almost 2 years, and i feel strong.
great job. u have great form. better than 90% of the people i see in the gym. nice size too. i have to say i love meat but i give props to you for being able to grow on a vegan diet.

"considering your diet"
What's wrong with it? Adequate protein and calories = growth.
As for you, with a 110lb db curl and a 90lb db bench, you're either badly imbalanced or lying.
