  • :37 is quite enough of that, thank you

  • @SuperFUCKtheNWO Agree!

  • must have missed this one

  • Seen them live 25 years ago and it was PUMPING !

  • NA TRY SLAYER

  • ummm.... was there a song?????

  • Brian Canham the singer wrote this song in 3 hours

  • They look really good. Bands these days rarely make any effort. The '80s needs to come back, and stay!

  • este grupo si que encanta me vuelve locaaaaaa

    jajaja

  • the first song

  • Sounds a bit like it could be lifted from Simple Minds New Gold Dream album - very similar sound!

  • Hey... could have had the whole video and song... Absolutely loved these guys when i was younger and they r still playing 2day...

  • Had a college roommate who was into this band. Pretty good stuff.

  • they look even more gay when they are speeded up lol.

  • The singer looks like David Bowie.

  • &fmt=18 works!

  • Sorry I wasn't Listening!

  • at 0:50...is that the singer from la roux?! hahahah

  • Phuck he was cute!

  • This used to be my favourite band. Still love this song :)

  • what a pack of faggots

  • Princess Di's hairdresser must have been very busy that week.

  • Aussie boys are hot

  • @ChryslerLaser1986 except these guys are queers

  • @nerdflanders8710 Who gives a flying crap?

  • @flickad No one. just don;t bend over in front of them .

  • @nerdflanders8710 You're assuming they'd want to fuck the likes of you anyway. In my experience, gay men are pretty discerning. plus, straight men seem to be the ones more prone to surprise buttsecks (aka rape).

  • @flickad in your experience???

  • @nerdflanders8710 I've had gay friends since my teens. Not all of us are bigots.

  • hahahahaha LOVE IT

  • Mate remove the vid and upload again if u can..cheers.Awesome Song.Love it.

  • LOL I actually dug the sped up vid! It's the chrystal meth remix.

Shame the URL add makes the sound mono, but what can you do.

  • put &fmt=18 on the begging of the url

  • Damn Youtube and their glitches.

  • Dangit! It's been f'ed up for quite some time now. I was really wanting to see this today :(

  • shortest song i've ever heard i think...

  • @Xxfancythat79xX add &fmt=18 at the end of the URL

  • @nzoz1983 WHERE? I did it, but it keeps on being stuffed up!

  • @nzoz1983 that's why it's called "Pseudo Echo".. hehehe.

  • why the video moving so fast

  • Wasn't the singer Depeche Mode's Alan Wilder or a elder brother of the child David Faustino/Bud Bundy

  • fucking youtube... what the fuck are you doing to my uploads you stupid bunch of a fucking cunts!

  • @nzoz1983 I don't think they're listening! Pun intended. ;)

  • @zorbadegeek

ha ha ha, i like it.

they just did some maintenance and it seems it has done nothing. looks like i'll be having to reload this shit again.

  • @nzoz1983 I think you really need to remove this and upload it again. I really can't believe that youtube has done nothing to correct this.

  • @Supersweetguy there's an solution...add &fmt=18 at the end of the URL

  • @nzoz1983 It's not working even when adding the end of the url link..... Ow gosh, I miss that video so bad...... T_T

  • @nzoz1983 I don't think they're listening! Pun intended. ;)

  • Why is the video in 37 seconds instead of 3 minutes?

  • Wtf. Why is cut off at the 37 second mark all of a sudden? Not cool.

  • Saw them in 83 at a news years party. They were really good live. A very good night!!!

  • This song was SOOOOO "80's" and I LOVED it...I mean, LOVED IT!!!! But Pseudo Echo's version of "Funkytown" is the worst remake of any song EVER...never, never, never try to cover a song that is already as perfect as it can be!!! Like Hydrox & Oreos people!!!!

  • @looking4lulu My feelings exactly!

  • ***Classic song***

  • OMG, this is definitely a blast from my past. Love it!

  • I live in the US and I LOVED this group back int he 80's. I remember having my VHS tape ready to record when they came on the tv, like Nick Rocks & TBS Night Tracks. I never did see this video. Thanks for posting!

  • 2 words...bloody awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • lmao omg i remember this, I was only 11 at the time and thought Brian Canham was the spunkiest guy ever! I like this but just love FUNKY TOWN..... great song!!

  • There is something of an aesthetic similarity between this clip and the original clip for 'Great Southern Land'. Interesting!. A great song!

  • The band is new to me here in the USA unless I missed a single that was released at the time. This has that classic 80's "new wave" sound..

  • @BionicKris you might know their version of 'Funky Town', from 1986 (go to nzoz1986 upload of song mentioned for best picture and sound quality). There's plenty of other videos of this band that had been uploaded by Americans, where the VH1 classic logo is clearly seen on screen.

  • @BionicKris They were great in the early 80's and then went into super suck mode by doing a cover song that got them Top 40 cred.

  • @DazzaZulu Let's not forget what they did in 1988... boyband hardrock... 'Fooled Again' is a must-see... it's like a totally different band.

  • Somehow it's, at the 80 make up for boy's was cool, then after 90's it was out and now slowly it comes again that make up for boys is cool xD The world is wired

  • I saw these guy playing in Cairns About a week go with my girlfriend

They rocked. It was a good night. I think everyone who was there enjoyed it

  • the ledgends still live on!

  • Slippers, baggy pants, cardigans draped across shoulders and flicked gelled hair!!Those were the days....Other than that :Pseudo Echo were good for that period..

  • Cool song off my all time favorite New Wave/Romantic albums! Awesome style! I tried to dress like these guys, Duran and Spandau for years!

  • lead singer looks like an 80's version of "beck"!!

  • ...extra brzmienie:)

  • weird guys.. but good music

  • I wish there was another 1980's. The past decade was SOOOOOOO bland.

  • Shameless '80s synthpop at it's finest!

  • gees there's even a bit of flock of seagulls in there with the guitar rift - thanks again

  • Icehouse cross Depeche Mode - forgot this one - Thanks

  • Very nice catchy song, thank you:)

  • CRINGE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • check out my channel, just hit markryan1963, there is over 650 music video's..

  • AAH - the 80's!! Tragic hair, Tragic clothes but god I loved those days - best, catchiest tunes ever!!!!

  • Tragic or super fashion forward ? :)

  • I love that shot of the group out on the rocks from about 2:25 to 2:40

  • Is it weird that I want to dress like that now?

  • No, I don't think so, because it's natural for people to go through cycles of liking something and then being sick of something. At least in the US, it seems like every 20 years that pass, fads (hairstyles, clothing, etc.) that was popular 20 years earlier always seems to come back in various people's conscience and they bring elements of those fads back.

Plus, if you're a person that likes something and doesn't give a crap if others don't like it at the end of the day, you should try it out

  • The Lyrics of this song could be used as a RAP song.

  • Other then NZ was this band knowen out of Oz?

  • they were most known in the US for their version of 'Funky Town', which came out a few years later. I don't know how they took off in the UK. I think a few of their other songs were played on MTV at some point.

  • @catlover28 yep, i knew them before funkytown and happy for it. i still have the cassette this came on. this was in los angeles. thanks K-ROQ.

  • @catlover28 Yeah up here in Canada They were huge,,

  • With the hair and makeup on the lead singer, the shirt and tie was the only thing that told me he wasn't a broad.

  • The 80's are our future.

  • @dprague And they are.

  • @dprague ur comment just made me smile so much man i hope the 80's become our future

  • @dprague I'm pretty sure you mean past.

  • crikey , there just a bunch of kids

  • @hunkydaboyz

the older we get the younger they look lol... but geez they did look young

  • I was just giggling about that! These guys look like they're 12! When I was 12 they looked sooo mature. lol!!

  • I loved the 80's, the music was uncomplicated, catchy and the clothes! lol The best part is apart from hair do's they were so natural, none of this 'perfect' teeth and 'perfect' bodies!

  • I disagree, respectfully. It was a different type of perfection. I recall the "standard" being stricter... no public grubbiness, like there is nowadays. You spent time to look SHARP... you didn't even run to the gas station in your jammies! And pony tails... ohhhh hellllll nooo!! lol

  • I don't know which part of the world you lived in, but my world in the 80's wasn't so 'sharply' dressed. I was a kid and the most I saw was badly dressed school teachers, uni-students, unemployed people, a few junkies, a few punks, mullet heads, etc.

The 'sharply dressed' only seemed to appear on TV, whilst reality looked more like 'Dogs In Space' and Cold Chisel's 'Cheap Wine' video clip.

  • Sorry, I might add that I was from 1980's working class Sydney (Cold Chisel's video for 'Saturday Night' perfectly captures my 1980's childhood); where you'd see a dead junkie laying on the side of the road on your way to buying a newspaper...

  • @nzoz1983 You're right. I owned a pair of "moon boots" in the 80's. Those things were tragic..

  • oh god... they were ugly!!!

  • @nzoz1983 all the cool kids used to wear them as school shoes in the 80s...

  • @nzoz1983 theyt were not ugly of course they were fantastic

  • @nzoz1983 exactly....and judging by the mullet comment i guess ya gotta be Aussie

  • @nzoz1983 i liked the 80s still do guess i am 40 something and thank you for getting the music up for the world to hear!!!!!!!!!!

  • Are they pseudo Echo & The Bunnymen? Or quasi Teardrop Explodes? Well, they sound great anyway.

  • hahaha!!!!

  • I was in high school, about 14-15 when they came out. They were the talk among us girls. Hunky boys, and a great song!

  • I remember watching this on Countdown in 1983 when I was 12 and my family had just emigrated to Australia from England. Brilliant tune, great band, as good as any new romantics out of the UK.

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome!

  • Wonderful!

  • They were like the Australian Duran Duran but they had more epic hair! Gotta love those white slacks and wow those synthesizers were awesome!

  • agree

  • and better vocal

  • Adoro esta cancion, hasta 0:43 es tan oscura........

  • I want back my 80's!!!!!

  • great vid great sound

  • Sounds a lot like early Talk Talk.

  • Great song and a great vid, especially the effects are very good.

  • very sweety boys...lol

  • I love this Song!

What a golden souvenir from the early 80s....the best music decade!

  • La mejor cancion de la banda, me encanta, tiene toda la escencia del buen pop ochentero.

  • They should re-form and do an Australian tour

    Bring back the 80's

  • They did... in the year 2000.

  • They're not dead dick head.... Brian Canham, the lead singer still does gigs occasionally

  • lol, who the fuck are you to call anybody a dickhead when she was clearly stating that they should reform and you come out stating that the leadsinger does solo gigs. For fuck's sake, use your brain cock breath.

  • Stick it up yer exhaust pipe bone head...

  • @watchinu66 Instead of scrapping, why don't you and nzoz1983 just focus on the excellence and integrity of this song and the fact that the lead singer in this video bears an uncanny resemblance to Keno What's-his-face from those Matrix movies.

  • Bite me

  • Halfwit one-liner comeback.

  • Now you see why I answered back to that moron in the first place.

  • You mean Keanu Reeves. The lead singer is Brian Cannam

  • @mrsgritoli1 : Keanu Reeves? lol lol

    Thx for your info...^^

He looks like this very young actor...

  • You mean Keanu Reeves........The lead singer is Brian Cannam

  • @mrsgritoli1: i like his voice!

    "Babyface" -but a superb voice!

  • OMG. This song sounds a hell of a lot like China Crisis.

  • Goldang it if that lead singer fella aint Keno from them Matrix movies!

  • NZOZ were they before MISEX ? .. Im sorry you Kiwi`s all look the same

  • Pseudo Echo were after Mi-Sex and they weren't Kiwis. They were from Melbourne.

    Mi-Sex were the kiwis.

  • cool song...weird video...

  • nice song. sounds like midge ure.

  • Without a doubt my Favorite Version of this Song. For me their 87 Version just didn't capture the Magic of what made this Group Unique.

  • for surez.. I hear ya.. this is more what made them pioneers of synth!!!

  • They were the pioneers of the synth!

  • pioneers of synth? wow, do some fucking research and you'll find that Kraftwerk earned that title way before these guys....you obviously know nothing about synthesizers or the music produced with them...what a douche.

  • I was being sarcastic. I'm sorry if that didn't show through the comment. I know my music, so there's to bring Kraftwerk to my awareness... I have four of their records (on vinyl).

  • aw, great, thanks for making ME feel like a douche...haha i see it now...sorry...was having a bad day and pissed cuz i was trying to get my hands on a Roland JP-8000 and the dude backed out on the sale...Bastard!!!! Cheers!

  • The dude must have been watchinu66 (scroll up and read his classic one liners)....

  • they had one good album, their debut, the rest is just 80's cheese

  • great band. awsome song......i had to look twice but the lead singer guitar guy is playing an original japanese ibanez blazer iiiiiiiiii want it

  • autumnal park was a great album- if they had shoved funky town on there too it would be their best ever. instead they shoved versions from autumnal park onto love an adventure (over here at least)and then rca and emi could not decide who had the rights! so they soon disappeared from our radar.

a beat for you, fast cars, we were dancing til midnight- so many great songs all on one album

  • Cool! I like it! I didn't know this song, but remembered the name as a groud I had liked as a kid. What good taste I had!

  • lived in Australia , when these guys were popular , they were awesome live , and a little bot more heavy guitar influenced on stage

they were a real band !!! no backing trax , pure live work !!!

  • He sounds like the singer from Echo and the bunnymen.

  • Common, if you understood the context of the time this song came about then you'd know that this band is new wave with some influence of psych furs. Most music now is factory made with groups assembled by record producers rather than those with a passion for music. Thats why most music now is plastic disposable and essentially crap.

  • I so agree with you. I cant relate to todays music. i miss the music from the 80s and i wish that bands like this would come back.

  • I couldn't relate to today's music. They're all wannabes, and I have been influenced by the 80s since 2005, after being disillusioned by today's society.

  • your rite i couldnt have said it better myself

  • Pierre Pierre

    ha ha!

  • 2:11 is hillarious

  • definitely xd

  • I think he sounds a bit like New gold dream era Jim Kerr of Simple Minds on this, love it.

  • at the time it was the cool thing..was there

  • they all wore heavy make up then. including lipstick.
