I don't consider the bar cheating per se, but I do consider a no bar (and no bracketing) pass a greater accomplishment because it is a more challenging feat. I was actually really impressed with CartoonHero's AAA pass WITH a bar on Max 300. But then I lobserved how he responds to anyone who says anything disagreeable to him in his video, and I see him as kind of an arrogant prick now. I hope admstyles doesn't tread the same path. Sadly, it looks like he may be though.

im actually more comfortable on the arcade than home version but in your case its more easier where ever your comfortable. also if you cant do it, need more practice in that part but i think you can manage because thats pretty much a short run.

I'd suggest sneakers. Dress shoes, although the game emulates dance, are not good to use.

I usually wear converse- they're good because they're tennis shoes, so they stay on your feet, but they're very light weight so they're easy to move with. I wouldn't suggest boots(if you're a girl, most likely) because they're heavy, and sandals will fall off your feet. =) (trust me, I've tried every kind of shoe while playing)

New Balance MR790s are what I use. Before the switch to these shoes, I could barely pass this song without a bar. Probably because my shoes weighed over a half-pound each. After the switch, it only took a month later to no-bar Fascination Maxx on expert. About a week after that I no-barred it on challenge (it's not as hard as the beginning makes it look). So yeah, it's a really great shoe for ddr, at least with no bar. Can't really speak for the bar user though, you'll have to find out.
