This was the first game that me and my wife went to together and her first one ever. She loved it. Even though we lost it was a really good game.

LSU comes back to knoxville this year, hopefully we can get em. This was the last really excellent team we had, even though we didnt make the sec title game that year, and made it in 2007. 07 we started off bad, ended well, but had some luck in getting to the sec title game which involved another heartbreaking loss to lsu...and these past 3 years we haven't had any luck. However, this'll be the last medicore season UT will have for a while probably. Vols will probably go 8-4 or 7-5. BELIEVE!

Russell definitely fumbled. Such a huge miscall on the refs part. That call was the game because much of the game was evenly matched and played, so one miscall going for one team & against the other was enough to tip the scales in favor.

Hey I doesn't matter... Earlier in the game on the punt the ball scraped the Tennesse Punt returner's finger... That was a touchdown that they didn't call for LSU. That was also a definate muffed kick becuase the ball changed rotaion after it scraped his hand. LSU wins fair and square

However, let us not forget that even had they ran the table from this game forward they still would not have made it to the SEC Championship due to the 20 - 21 loss against Florida earlier in the season seeing as how Florida's only loss came to Auburn.

God, this game was heartbreaking. I thought for sure that LSU was going to lose to the 2nd string QB from UT for the 2nd straight year. I must admit, though, Russell showed some of the best clock management I have ever seen. But, I have no doubt in my mind that had the Vol defense not been on the field 40+ mins of that game, they get the final stop. Kudos to Russell for that final drive.
