Hearing this makes me remember when i was i younger and getting at 6 am in the morning after my parents went to work and i was all alone in the house, just to play this all day long lol. Missions were the funniest part of the game IMO, the ambient, the music, everything so well done. And when you had done the campaign, you had that BIG site 10david.com with TONS of mods, maps and skins and you would never get tired of it....

I remember getting this game and playing it to death... loved the atmosphere and the music.

Then 9/11 happened and all of a sudden the terrorist aspect became way too realistic and close. The game disk was left to gather dust on my shelf, and I just never got back into it. Still want to, though, if I can just find the DVD ;) .

I loved how you could be really stealthy and ifyou got caught you could charge through and it was a race against time to save the hostages, the sound effects were great!

@RobertsDigital I loved SWAT 3, I got SWAT 4 but my PC just couldn't handle it, It took about 20 minutes to load the first level, the one in the run down suburb house and lagged like a bitch.....

@LFfilms The problem with most game developers is that they forget all the good stuff from the older games. Swat 3 is better that swat 4. It you are familiar with most shooter games you will discover that most shooter games today although the have good graphics are crap compared to the older ones. Game developers just forget all the exciting stuff.

@RobertsDigital You're right, it's because back then, games weren't big, in fact, say you're a gamer then people would laugh, nowadays, the games idustry is bigger than the film and music industry, it's all about the money now.

Jedi Knight, This, Soldier of Fortune, Unreal tournament and all those great PC FPS/3rd PS were authentic and great, I think the only modern FPS game that really made me happy is Bad Company...I've always loved the Battlefield series, everything else is mediocre and a cash cow.

Look at games and their sequels, what were they, 2 or 3 year gaps? some even 4? now there's sequels coming out each year, it's stupid

@LFfilms I agree. I am a battlefield fan too. Swat 3 is a great excellent game. One thing i like about the battlefield series is that they dont dissappoint anyone. Bad Company 2 is a modern game but just as cool as the older games.
