Let me add, there as a wrestler I had a chance to work with locally ten years ago that we lost to cancer about two years ago. It really broke all of our hearts. I hate cancer. Takes a lot of good people.
battling satan takes it's toll... the big man needed to tag out... (lucifer's teaming with vince sr...... you just HAD to procreate, didn't you, vince sr. !?)
Been two years Doc... Still miss everything you were... Thank you for giving us this moment and for giving us your legacy... Still a tear everytime watched...BB
I grew up in the midsouth area and remember a-lot of the early days. Thanks Dr Death for being a great Champion and Hero to a-lot of people and esp to the Kids. Guess God needed a Champ. RIP.
I had the pleasure of meeting Doc at a Mid South Wrestling show in Fort Smith, Arkansas not long before this. He was a really great guy and a true legend. The wrestling world misses him more every day.
This is probably the very best put together farewell for any wrestler period. WWE could learn alot from this. I personally got to meet Doc when I was a kid in a Bartlesville Oklahoma hospital getting my tonsils taken out.He was there visiting sick kids back then there was no photo oppurtunity or publicity for him he was just giving back. Enjoy your reward in heaven Doc
You were my favorite growing up and always will your in a better place and showing those in Heaven THE OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE!...God rest your soul Steve Williams
Hey Brandon. This is Allen Viper aka Trey. Back from TTW. I just wanted to say that I am sorry for the lost of your friend the Doc. He will be missed.
I was very lucky. I had the chance to meet this man at the Cauliflower Alley Club reunion in 2008. Being a Stampede Wrestling fan, we talked about the guys from there he faced and teamed with in Japan. One of my most treasured moments as a fan. Later in a hallway in the Riveria, he seen me, stopped me and said hi again. Truly a class act and will be missed....
It's so great to see these fans SO behind Steve Williams. Such a great moment to let us know that fans really do have compassion for the legends of the ring.
So long Steve, hope we all see you on the other side when our time comes,,,,God bless you....glad to hear you were saved by the lord and savor Jesus Christ.
One of the best ever! He had so many great matches. I remember him alot in the old UWF. Matches with Terry Gordy, the One Man Gang, Ted Dibiase. He was very very very strong! Seen him lift guys over his head and press them like 10 times before dropping them. He was incredible. He was also a class act, very friendly. He accepted Christ in his life before he passed. He will be sadly missed!
I want to commend everyone who put this together for Dr. Death. Too many times wrestlers go to the wayside without their due respect. You all are a class act and its good to see this in todays era. God bless you all and God bless Dr. Death.
I've known Steve from my brothers wrestling days at Bear Creek, I hung out with Steve and my brother a few times. And have followed his career since. Really a great guy who will missed more as a man than a wrestler. Rest in Peace old friend
Hi BRANDON, I am SW brother in law and Im rebuilding His site for a Memorial to him and for all the people he touched. I would like to have some photos from this event if you have any.
God I love you Doc. You're my favorite wrestler of all time. You're in a better place now. I'll always remember you for giving me some of the best damn wrestling memories ever.
Even the best need to lose - Dr. Death may have lost this final battle, but he did so much during his career that will always been considered in the vain as the best the sport has seen. Dr. Death will live forever in the hearts of wrestling fans!
God Speed Steve Williams! I hear a Oklahoma Stampede in the heavens!
Tell your babies NOW how much U luv them- this is REAL! Being a huge fan of the Real Wrestling on Superstation Mid-South and the latter.. Just crushing news.......... Doctor Death is an icon and remains among us..
Way to many wrestlers dropping like flies, seems a inevitable thing nowadays, how sad, they do it for the love and admiration of their craft and the busines and then get chewed up spat out and left in a state. wrestlers really need a union of somesorts.
poor guy. he was awesome.
