  • my speakers buzzed !!

  • thumbs up for the ginger

  • roflmao. That's my band room. I can't believe you guys did this.

  • wow you are really good ^_^

  • We play contras during marching season, and we are members of Grand Haven High school Marching Band

  • @TheLogan755 Marvelous, now lets hear it.

  • @TubaDanny43 It's called practicing "Sonic Boom" since Christmas break.

  • @TheLogan755 I really doubt that. I am All-State tuba player and when i was in the 6th grade i could only dream of playing like that. Either your the "new" Arnold Jacobs or your just a little kid who has recently learned Yankee Doodle and think you can take on the tuba world.

  • Nice ! Although i would recommend sitting up and bring the tuba to you. It will help take in deeper breaths. But other than that, keep up the good work !

  • SOUUUUUSAAAS mouunnt UP!

  • @sagem97 @ It's not just me. It's me as well as the 2nd and 3rd chair tubas as well. I never said they were sousaphones either. i play it on a concert tuba too. And i breath in the rests....Duuuuh

  • What school or program is this??!!

  • the copied that from Inglewood trombones

  • what do you guys play during marching season? do you guys have sousaphones... or contras

  • any euphoniums in the house?? bass section rules!!!!

  • @HALOFREAK9715 I sit by one, does that count?

  • @sagem97 depends.... what do you play?

  • You suck. I'm a sixth grader and I can play the sixteenth notes fluently

  • @TheLogan755

Come on dude. Get that outta here. Whether your claim is true or not, saying they suck was completely unnecessary.

  • @TheLogan755 Hey kid, these are Tuba's not sousaphones, sousaphones are more the bang and boom and the higher range, I seriously doubt a sixth grader can play this, by themselves, and not have to breath, because your putting ALOT of air through about 20 feet of tubing.

  • @sagem97 The difference between between a tuba and a sousaphone is that Sousa popularized the use of a marching tuba that sits on one's shoulder. There's no specific tonal difference, it's the shape and ease of carry.

  • @trombonetubafreak I have been playing trombone my whole life since i was 6 and I now just play trombone in jazz band too, i switched to tuba a month ago and i got accepted into allstate. :)

  • your moving bass line seems slightly... underpar? but it's still pretty good. It just isn't as clean as I've heard it before.

  • Wheres Guile?

  • I'm a girl tuba player, and I'm the only tuba player in my band.

  • @tubatrombone8922 I play Trombone and Tuba too!!!!! I played trombone in 6th grade and im still playing it but only in jazz band and in concert band im play Tuba!! im a 7th grader right now.

  • three benders

    i mean tubas

  • ARE THEIR ANY GIRL TUBA PLAYER ANYWHERE? I FEEL ALL ALONE! and btw, that sounds cool!

  • @TheBelieveGreatness My friend is :)

    She marched a contra :D

  • SONIC RAINBOOM.

  • Just add some background and stuff to go with it and it will be perfect. Although also I would like to stress more dynamics and volume. If that requires more players, OK, but it could just be me.

  • damn you jay leno

  • good, until the 16 notes sounded a bit sloppy, but it was still good

  • Heyyyy tuba players that can ACTUALLY play!!!

  • play guile theme

  • @Johnnyboybravo

Took the type right out of my fingers.

  • They are Tubas

  • @sweetpetejr No dip shirlock

  • @sweetpetejr thank you Captain Obvious

  • Fuck the MW3 Commercial <_<

  • говно не джаз.

  • Tubas or Barotones?

  • this is pretty sick

  • The guy in the black and pink is holding the tuba wrong, your not supposed to let your arm dangle down like that.

  • Thumbs up waiting for a BOOM!! to come up.

  • cool, but work on VERTICAL ALIGNMENT!!!

  • demasiada velocidad, it´s very fast , but it´s very good i play tuba too

  • Nice! You guys sound quite good in my opinion, but I don't know much about tubas, so my judgement isn't that accurate. Also, just a side note, looking through the comments there are a lot pertaining to the appearance of the members. I think they all look pretty cute, but the far left has got to be my favorite. Gingers ftw. :)

  • Man, I've always wanted to hear Sonic Boom.

Next year, the Cedar Park High School Freshman Class of 2013 (which includes me)'s top three tubas are going to be playing this (or so I have heard).

Originally, there was another guy above me to play the third part, but apparently he is quitting band in pursuit of sports.

So that is great and all, but there's a problem:

How can a 4'7", 80 lb. guy play something demanding so much air? It is preposterous!

    :V

  • lol srry i mean hides behind the tuba

  • first ones to shy so he hides behind the trombone second ones a nerd third ones a..........whoa hes a hottie

  • Comment removed

  • @luigichic107 why is he a "nerd"?

  • sucks.. lol

  • ? is that the name of the song. (i guess i was expecting an actual sonic boom haha, correct me if im wrong but i didnt see one...)

  • damn i cant believe they can stand those big horns on their horns. Get it?

  • @597nothing I mean sonic boom stupid auto spell checker

  • Is the song your playing called son if boom cuz I'm my school the called it snake pit

  • I liked it guys...keep it up!

  • I was expecting Guile to come randomly and be like SONICCCC BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.....and trash the music room.

  • I didn't know Ron Weasley played tuba.

  • this is almost a tradition for our tuba section. every day after marching band practice they play it walking off the field xD

  • that does not seem to be a very famous song in South Carolina

  • Cool

  • not a girlfriend between em..

  • Hmm the one on the far right is cute. ;) sounds great guys

  • this is pretty good, and not to mention the black and pink shirt guy is smokin!!!<3

  • @haygirl103 Thanks?

  • @sweetpetejr hey is the person in the middle supose to play like that at 0:27

  • @sweetpetejr I know i would do dirty, dirty things to him.

  • @haygirl103 No hes obviously blowing..

  • @haygirl103 Creepy but yet true

  • @haygirl103 pretty sure hes into boys ;)

  • @haygirl103 creepy and yet true

  • left to right=whitest to darkest

  • when i put this on my mom said stop farting

  • NICE!! Used to own a Sousaphone myself.

  • me and my friend that plays trumpet that i tought tuba to found this out and we are going to post a vid any advise?

  • Well done, in my country they never have played someting like that, guys playing, just wonderful. In my poor country they just what TV (crimes programs and lucina gimenes). My country never develop nothing, computers, technology, chips, planes, we just buy what others invent. Here people don´t like critics, if they had a gun could shot you instantly. They just like to see the corruption of our congress, money inside the sockes and never do nothing to avoid that. Congrat guys.

  • I only clicked on this video because I thought something was gonna explode from the sheer force of the tubas combined....or at least another rick roll.....

  • Lol I hear the snare drum vibrating in the background :D

  • Sounds better w/ four trombones

  • better on sousaphones.

  • pretty cool, till you remember you gotta carry that heavy ass thing around

  • Middle guy man i was so high last night bro, he got sonic boomed

  • wow golden hair

  • one on the far right... cute.

  • My school does this song sooo much better -_-

  • @memirou12 well they said they just kinda learned it

  • omg we play this in marching band as stand music!!!

  • Your garbage

  • Sounds disgusting lol

  • Wyattman97,

The right way to hold an instrument is whatever feels comfortable as long as all the required notes can be played. Nothing to do with racial identity.

Playing any instrument is challenging whether it be woodwind, brass, stringed or percussive. Even a set of cymbals requires skill.

  • You forgot to put the word "Rain" in the video title!

  • Heh... my marching band's sousaphones play this too. And they play it way too much, lol. But all that practice means they're beast at it.

  • Dont pay any attention to the guy in the back moving stuff

  • 2 Sophomores and a junior in high school. we had just learned the song, but we are better know. thanks for a lot of the advice.

  • @sweetpetejr which two are the sophomores?

  • @unluckynova123 left and right, I am the one in the black and pink shirt, and was a sophomore at the time.

  • @sweetpetejr your junior is good but he could be a little better at tounging i play this on bari

  • @sweetpetejr so your in grade 12 now?

  • like that pearl philharmonic snare in the back.

  • the guy in the middle looks like he just woke up.

  • ehem...brown haired kid.. you're hot ;)

  • mythzack45, these are BBb Yamaha tubas, never liked them. What these guys could do is put some more air in the horns, approach it like they are bad asses. Not bad for HS.

  • Haha, I was watching this, then realized that the kid in the middle looked like a kid that I spent some time with this summer, then saw that it was the GH tubas, and realized that it was him.. cool story right?

  • I wish we had 3 tuba kids to do this with.

  • nice rotary valve Eb tubas

  • The random guy in the background messing with the drum. :D

  • every band director would complain at their slouch, and hand positioning, but over all not bad.

  • sonic boom.... where's austin and ally??

  • Good job guys!

  • What is the real song?

  • i like how they are sitting.

far left: whitest way to hold a tuba

    middle: nuff' said -_-

far right: most gangsta' way to old a tuba

  • @wyattman97

Just to add, once you get into knowing how to tune your instrument you can actually use that gangsta' way to fix your tuning slides so you're always in tune.

  • @wyattman97 Theyre probably sitting like that to compensate their height. If the far left put the tuba on the corner of the chair he'd be slouching, same with the middle.

  • @wyattman97 FAr right: the proper way to hold one, so you can adjust the tuning slide for intonation :D

  • how long have y'all been playing??

  • wow that must be a private or extremely rich public school. My highschool is so poor we have 4 tubas and they are from the 80s :) lol

  • They should play some Vandals.

  • to anyone dissing them, unless your ON THEIR LEVEL (same grade, same playing time/experience) then please, STFU! they sound epic, in my opinion, as long as you dont squeal the tuba, you cant mess up a tuba. if your saying you can do better, then post a video of you playing, i dont know these kids, but i hate it when people *Try to* smash their talent in the ground, a majority of people saying 'they suck' most likely dont have even a video on youtube about it, until you equal them, please STFU.

  • Shut up band tryhards and watch the damn kids play tuba.

  • best tuba playing in the world!!

  • @vic8052g4u wrong, but they're good for grade school

  • Gotta love band nerds:)

  • Really good considering their apparent ages and how long they've probably been playing. Keep it up, guys!

  • Just so you know your playing horrible partials its not even thats high and some of your rythems are wrong

  • @Tubaplayer1000 how do you know their rythems are wrong? did you write the piece? maybe they have a time change in irregular measures and its supposed to sound like that... doubt it but possible :P lol

  • utterly the worst thing i have ever heard when it comes to a trio..they would have been better to shoot themselves in the foot and dance around a room full of cats

  • im betta than yall

  • You guys....... fucking blow.

  • Good job - keep playing boiz! :)

  • @jeffreydgodwin stop talking about yourself in third person, it's weird.

  • Who's the ass in the back messing with the drums?? Can't he wait two minutes??? What a donker!

  • Hate sonicboom.

  • When they said sonic boom, I thought someone was going to fart.

  • O LOOK ITS A VIRGIN!

  • I don't understand why people love tubas.... They seem to sound good in a pro environment but outside it.... I like trombone better ^_^ But at least you know the song in memory. I just started playing it. Very fun song. Tuba just seems too hard to play plus the sound isn't all that strong to me.

  • nice :)

  • one with brown hair is hottttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

  • Idc what anyone says. I liked it.

  • Ahh, theres my favorite tuba players.

  • These kids are lame. I bet they all play magic the gathering and wear uniforms to concerts.

  • Actually thought it was pretty good. Good job guys

  • @jamiegotcrunk Fag, gtfo. We all hate you too.

  • i am now ashamed to play tuba... that was like the worst..... i jus quit

  • @TheUltimateHaxor how can you be ashamed. tubas are like tanks. And tank beats everything!

  • Move over boy bands...Here come the Tuba boy bands!

  • not very impressive... im in middle school and that seems like a very easy peice of music

  • @papjd8863 sure, if you're the one playing the baseline! not to mention that the melody on the tuba has 16th notes and those are crazy hard on a tuba.

  • thats awful.

  • Lol, at my school... The trumpets have free reign with that song! Its our improv time in the stands :P

  • @rhobrian4u

    what song is it?

  • Oh my gosh I love it! Way to pick the coolest instrument in the band guys!

  • 00:29 the middle had a napolian dynamite face XD LOL

  • Totally original

  • hey dude we play tht in high school! lol

  • Too many splats on the first of each note. Lord, I hope these are high school kids. If so, not bad. If college, very bad.

  • great job

  • Big time RUsh?

  • i play sharp so i use 1 and 3 not 4

  • y do yall use 1 and 3 for c u do know u can use the 4th valve

  • @sk8dood98 1 and 3 is more in tune

  • @aprilfoolsnerd1999 no 4 th is more in tune get a tuner and test it

  • @aprilfoolsnerd1999 4th is usually more in tune and it can also give you better intonation

  • @sk8dood98 depends if you are flat or sharp flat use fourth sharp use 1 and 3 to be in better tune

  • This is fucking terrible me and my one friend did this back home and you guys fucking suck.

  • @THC304139 i haha they r proably better then u being a brass player myself
