  • Reagan Trickle-Down Bakery :)

    Good one, Gene!

  • This probably gives away where I'm from... but I thought it looked like a little Irv Weinstein way before his "Eyewitness News" days.

  • Nope, this episode was aired on February 28, 1983 so this was from episode #114 and with this long moment, this episode had the MGP logo go straight to the CBS TV city caption and the CP logo written in white for those who had seen this episode that was reran in 1997.

  • This was a good show, but it aired its last episode September 16 of the same year. The following Monday its time slot would be taken over by "Press Your Luck".

  • Too bad I missed it then, because KHOU had Hour Magazine. But seeing Child's Play on GSN, I'm glad NBC provided a safety net with $ale of The Century.

  • I imagine these two are doing Child's Play and Blockbusters together up in heaven. Hilton won't be there to take over BB announcing chores for a LONG time to come (that's just me being optimistic). Thanks for the memories, Mr. Cullen and Mr. Wood. :-)

  • Yes, Bob Hilton is only 66, so knock wood, he has a long time to go.

It looks like he has not done much announcing lately, but in 2002 published his book "Weekend Dad"

  • Wow 25 Years ago! this was nice to see this on here! He'd be 88 if he was still around IINM?

  • You are NM. 2/18/2008 would have been birthday #88 for the master.

  • Gene Wood, Bill Cullen, Mark Goodson, and Bill Todman are always be fun to be around on Child's Play. It's a very good birthday episode.

  • Ferbuary 18, 1983, to be exact.

    RIP Bill and Gene
