Yes, when the his name is written horizontal in the first episode, the lack fo space between the characters spells "despair". From that point on his students give enough space to avoid writting sensei.

Really? I dunno there aren't even any of the odd scenes in the first couple openings though. However I guess they'd probably see the intro on youtube before hand.
