The Vintilovs were the ones doing this when I saw Saltimbanco. I'd seen Cirque as far back as their first US tour, and have seen many since, but this show enchanted me like no other - I finally managed to grab tickets and see it again in the same stop. The Adagio has a sweet "caring family" dynamic going on, and the moves here all look unusually effortless. Beautiful.
I absolutely adore this piece, & as a circus performer myself, I hope to use it to do something like Oleg & Tatiana did in Varekai. Adagio is my favourite circus act!

Anton did this act with his parents untill 1996. The reason why they showed the Adagio piece is because it was the first show for Anton to play in. If you watch Olga's interview you'll see pieces of her act in Quidam which she did before she went to Varekai.

Bungee (Il sogno di Volare) and this song have been sung by her about 5 times a week. So, technically she should be able to have sung it in Solstrom easily.

What does every body have against Laur? And if youre going to say that shes bad, at least explain why instead of just going "Laur sucks and Zaras awesome......" How about something a little more constructive
I don't think Laur has enough vocal talent. Maybe for some styles, but not Cirque du Soleil. I heard her sing El Pendulo from Varekai, and her voice was not pure and personal, unlike Zara's. Zara, Francesca, Francine, Eve, and Mathieu are some of the best Cirque singers to come along - Laur excluded. But that is me.

That is not true...i worked on Saltimbanco for Several years and i Knew the Vintilovs ..even when they did the act with their daughter, they definately did it on stage...now Saltimbanco is in Arena format so it is not the way it was first created to be but i can asure this act was in from the beginning...just look at the old footage of saltimbanco with the orignal cast members

Not entirely. It's a series in which you see a lot of CdS acts, but also a number of acts from other circusses and troups.

Zara is Zara Tellander, who used to sing for Varekai. Just search 'Varekai, aerial contortion in net' and you'll hear her sing very beautifully.
I agree with Alegria101, I think Laur is one of the worst Cirque singers...

Personally, I'm not a very big fan of her voice. That's reason nr. 1
It also looks and sounds like she has an incredibly difficult time singing the songs *cough*Midnight Sun *cough*
Her vocal technique might be ok, but her voice sounds kind of feeble and doesn't have the "Fullness" of Isabelle, Francine, Francesca and others.

I saw Alegria summer of 04. It was sort of a birthday thing for me too. Absolutely amazing. That's one of the BEST shows to see live!!
