  • IMO there was no shred in the 2nd place entry, it was so beautiful. think he shoulda won! but still, the winner equally deserved it! so well done to him!

  • You said Nafis' name wrong! Its Nafis Rahman, not Rafis Nahman!

  • haha the winner for a shredder? ... oh well.

  • İs any one what is backing track it sound so familiar

  • I think the runner-up deserves the prize better. That guy is truly amazing! The 1st place winner is good but he doesn't have his own personal trait that can make him stand out of the crowd though.

  • 3 and 4 should have been 1 and 2.

  • More competitions!!! :)

  • @SteveFEn7DER have you checked out the current competition? See my channel

  • Every single one of these solos are so typical. Listen to Robert Fripp, kids.

  • All those guys were boring as shit, and all of them are total shredders. They're just playing that typical slow rock shit we've heard a million times over. They still play fast things micro shreddy bits all over the place. It's shredding plain and simple. Oh you disagree? well fuck you you're an imbecile. Dave Gilmour, THAT is anti-shred so go fuck yourselves.

  • @melindagreenjeans And you are? Oh that's right 2 months late and a fucking retard

  • @guitarnoize THANK YOU!!! Perhaps there was some shredding aspects to a lot of the entries (including mine - though it wasn't an entry just me having some fun haha)! But for the most part some really cool stuff came out in my opinion :)

  • @melindagreenjeans So you didn't win then?

  • 1º e 2º não foram shred???? kkkk eu ri aqui

  • I think his facial expressions gave him the win, lol

  • Shit, I expected Milan Polak to be in the top 5 at least ! Anyways, I'm not the judge so congratz to the winners = )

  • Please, Guitarnoize... define "Anti-shred".

  • @DRockdriguez23 well seeing as I was the only judge then it is really a personal opinion and the comp has ended so there is no point me defining what I mean. The next competition will be less ambiguous so as to cause less confusion.

  • @guitarnoize I hope so... peace ;)

  • @guitarnoize fast runs ok...but number 4 did at least 3 huge mistakes and he did not even seem to hear it

  • @LazyHammond91 I didn't hear 3 huge mistakes

  • @guitarnoize 0:11 not really a mistake but a note which isn't very good there... 2:04 he's using the minor third over a major chord..which can be possible sometimes but definetly not here

  • @LazyHammond91 I disagree I like the minor third, the dissonance adds tension

  • @guitarnoize ok sorry , let's say that I simply don't like that note there...in fact everybody plays what he wants...anyway he has a very nice vibrato

  • Excellent.... Congrats to the winners!!!

  • WOW..!! Thanks for bringing such incredible talents together for us like this GuitarNoize..!! My heart is still pounding like I've just done a 2km run..!!

  • you dont see the song of tiago trinsi?

that songs of this video are shit

    tiago trinsi is the best!

  • @th3kill3r0fdr3ams I saw them all, these are my personal favourites everyone is entitled to their opinion, I can't please everyone.

  • anti shred ha ha ha

  • Congrats to the winners but....I only watched the 1st place and it s not a really "anti shred solo" at all!!!!!He played 3 o 4 runs really shreddy...anyway,you re the judge:it s your choice so I respect it...congratulations to the winners!!

  • @JeanDo it depends on your definition of shred, throwing in a few fast runs to me doesn't mean shred. You have to look at these guys' phrasing, melodies technique they are all first class.

  • Gratulations to the winners!!! :)

  • Congratulation the Winners

    Cheers

  • congrats to the winners!!! cheers from Argentina... Silvio G.

  • i thought #2 should be # 1, #5 should be # 2, and #1 should be # 4... something like that....

  • "Rafis Nahman, I hope that's the correct pronunciation"

Uh dude look at his video, That's not even the correct spelling

  • @zmantsunami Whoops!

  • Congrats to Guido and everyone else in the top 5. Was great to have a competition that everybody can enter, not just insane shredders! Looking forward to some more :-)

  • Thank you for Guitarnoize and every one for 2nd place i very appreciate that.

    All entry is great!

    God bless u all

  • I´m 16 too. Let me win! let me win!

just kiding, nice winner and top 5. Bluestrat´s solo was mindblowing

  • These guys were all class, although 2nd place was my favourite, but then I'd say that lol.

  • Congrats dudez :)

  • Congratulations to the winners!!! Very good job.

Marco De Cave - your solo is amazing!

  • Awesome comp Jon and congrats to the top 5!

  • Congratulations to all participants, and especially to these 5 talents. We may not agree on some of these picks, but tastes are just that: tastes.

  • Congratulations to Guido for taking the top spot! Thank you, Jon, for bringing the guitar community together to share our playing! I can imagine the difficulty in judging music competitions, as the results can be debatable due to our individual opinions & tastes. As albhooher1 stated, these are friendly contests. I'm glad that so many participate, and that we have the opportunity to watch guitarist from all over the world play. Congrats to all who participated!

  • yeah shred rules!

  • congrats to everyone! \m/

  • The 2nd place winner was the most original. He took a melody and made it work throughout. NOt just taking scales and hitting the 7ths and an arpeggio here and there. As for the shredding? I didn't see what you would call shredding on any entry. The melody called for some good descending and ascending runs leading into or out of a phrase going into another with the chord change. To all entries, very well done! We have some very creative guitarist out there. Guitarnoize you did a gr8 job!

  • i really enjoyed the solo from ClaudioMariola. i love it how he builds up that melody so nicely!

  • I'm very glad that " I " didn't have to judge this competition!!!!

    Way too many nice entries!!!!

Hope that everyone just remembers that it was mainly for friendly fun, and that's the "real" prize!

Let's get ready for the next one!!!

    Rock On!

  • it was a nice competition and great fun! congrats to the winners!

  • I like the winner and the no2 ...also no5....but I expected something different..I mean..that melodies are kind of...obvious maybe..nice vibrato ok, nice touch, which is fundamental...but if I where a singer I honestly would prefer a solo like mine in a cd rather than a solo like that(except for guido della gatta)

  • @LazyHammond91 yeah man...i would...prefer yours...too...

  • @Greenwithevil you're a great guitar player, I didn' want to be a hater, I was expressing my opinion..in fact I don't like your style, not because it isn't good, but simply because I listen different music..

  • Very good guitar players in here. Congrats to the Winner!!! I think I has the worse ^^ XP lol

  • 2:04 ???? nice entry...but that's a huge harmony mistake

  • Comment removed

  • for me no 5 is the best other use shredding No 5 Rules!

  • Fine choice; keep up the good work! kudos to all who entered and congrats to the top 5. Never stop Guido you got talent!

  • The shredders wins the anti-shred contest!! What a shame. LOL

  • A deserved top 5! Congrats to everyone a lot of really good entries. I think my favourite was actually the fella on acoustic, great melodies.

  • Congrats to the top 5, must say 3 of the top 5 I thought before hand were great too so not surprised at the result!!

  • Great contest and Congratulations to all the top 5 and especially to the Winner!!!!

  • All incredible players, congrats to the top 5.
