  • @Leila8Skittle silcere thanx! do you have any link with a relevant study to send me, so i can forward it to my friends?

  • @Leila8Skittle I dint know that! cos i see everybody using it, including chefs and i thought that they know what they are doing!!! right now i am cooking eggs in these silicon "helmets". The reason i am using them is to avoid the extra calories of the burnt oil. I find them tasteful, but of course not as much as the traditional way. i am concerned with your comment. we are trying to eat more healthy, but at the end we will end up with cancer....

  • where do i buy one?

  • mmm not really "poached"

  • I actually like the way this is cooked. I have once done something similar with foil instead. Unlike boiling eggs, you won't get the hardiness, like rubber feel. If you boil the eggs without the shells, you allow moisture to get onto the eggs. And that will make the eggs much more watery and soft.

  • man kind has come so far

  • Boiled or not? I tend to think of "boiled" eggs as cooked in the shell, hard-boiled or soft-boiled. They can be cooked in boiling water or steam --- both very hot. Poached eggs are cooked out of their shells. You can get the same result with small stainless-steel dishes: butter them and then put an egg in each on, and cook in about a quarter inch or less of boiling water, covered. Three minutes.

  • Excuse my ignorance but how is this different from boiling? I have wanted to try them but didnt know how to poach an egg until youtube.

  • i never had poached eggs before.. gotta try it someday.

  • making poached eggs the normal way takes 3 minutes.

    This method takes 6.

I'm sticking to the normal one :$

  • cracking one egg on another? genius.

  • thats more like a boiled egg!

  • @virtualpiano yes, but the yellow part comes out juicy!!

  • @virtualpiano boiled eggs tastes better anyway who like watery ass eggs i dont

  • I like mine in the water with just a touch of vinegar...

  • We've got some in our house, mum bought them. Up until now, I didn't know what the hell they where for.

  • i have poached eggs using vinegar and a "whirlpool," and several other "authentic" ways of doing it, but these poach pods are brilliant. this guy cooked them too long however.

  • @dmvella3, Yes, we did cook the eggs too long. I'm more of an omelet guy so consider me out of the loop in this conversation. You can cook the eggs for far less time than we did while making this product video. We did however get a very thorough and evenly cooked result from 6 minutes.

  • @dmvella3 we bought these...and every egg tastes like soap/plastic...doesn't matter if we thoroughly boil the pods before using them...the soap flavor (and smell) leaches...it is inedible. really dissapointed in a potentially really cool product

  • God I love a good seasoned poached egg! :~D

  • i want this

  • a poached egg is a boiled egg and it looks like its been boiled

  • best egg poaching tool EVER

  • This will never do!

  • poached eggs look nasty, ill fry that bitch...yum

  • why is techonlgy messing up the way we cook homestlye!!!!!!!

  • They don't even touch the water, they are most defiantly NOT poached!

  • Every post saying the same bloody thing. Its still a good way to cook an egg

  • poached eggs without tht silicone thing takes less than 2 mins.

  • I use them and the yolk is raw, I cook them for around five and a half minutes.

  • hmm. this is more like a hard boiled egg

  • is the yolk cooked or still raw?

  • that looks like a hard egg :S
