No. Godmars' design was the basis for Mighty Orbots. While both shows were completely unrelated, they were both animated by Tokyo Movie Shinsha.

Great review as always. Is yours the HK or Japanese version? I've been hearing bad things about the QC of the HK version (wonky heads, paint chips, scratches)... just wondering if i should bother paying the extra for the Jap version. Cheers.

Mine is HK version with no QC issues. Also, don't use "Jap", it's derogatory.

The JP version cost more of a bomb than the HK version, so I recommend the HK version. Try to overlook minor issues.
