@bhav213 I am in the camp that thinks that traditional Christianity has missed the point from the beginning. Yes, that is possible. What the great mystics (Jesus was one) and teachers are trying to tell us is that "it" is right now. We will experience it when we drop our illusions as to what we think we are. The methods and words they used to describe what they wanted to tell is could not be spoken but alluded to. If they came right out and said it, no one would listen or even understand. Peace.

What De Mello and others like him teach is not "religion" but it is exactly what religion is meant to do, except religion is more interested in keeping people IN the flock instead of helping them move on to greater things. Take a listen to all 50-plus videos of De Mello's "Awareness" (link at the right). In those he has refined his teaching. Also, check out Alan Watts. There are many good things on YouTube from him.
