I live in Barry and I'm sitting in my Mum's house. And I just sit there looking at the power plant one time. Then all of a sudden I saw that. You must have been near Dock View Road. Or further away from there. Pretty strange really. I'm always seeing these really weird objects in the sky in the day. No idea what they are.

I think it's a cool clip, but you can't rule out the possibility it is planes landing at Cardiff airport. As they're turning and coming in to land, I've seen a similar effect, though not as far away as this clip shows, from where I live, my friend even rang me to get me to see it. He thought they were invading! lol

Ok, so we have dumbass explanations such as "aircraft landing" and "magic lanterns". Now, I have no fucking idea what they are, but since when have "landing aircraft" hovered in one position then dissapear only to re-appear in a different position? As for "magic lanterns" they would have to be very magical to do what ever these things are doing. As I said, I dont know what the fuck they are, but some peoples explanations are as unlikely as them being flying saucers with little green men inside.

When I was about 10(24years ago) I remember seeing these kinds of light too, I was stood up where the master mariner pub is after coming out if the shop, I still clearly remember this but the orbs I saw didn't appear and disappear they were just there for a couple of minutes when one just shot off when I looked back to where they both were the other had gone, thinking about it I was looking down toward cadoxton school and the lights were further back than that so possibly in the same area as th

come on people after all the years of sightings i didnt believe but fishing one late in the mumbles i saw three balls of light all in nice line then they stoped and the one at the back rose above them and made a triangle and stopped for two mins and flew off very fast and then again driving through gendros at dusk i seen two lights the front one was bigger and higher travelling from loughor to port talbot and i phoned a FREIND IN A PARTY AND A FEW PEOPLE SEEN TOO.FLARES GO UP AND COME DOWN...

It's funny to view the comments of the armchair theorists stating with such conviction, it's a bird it's a plane, it's a flare, it's a this, it's a that. I've spoken to an actual eye witness of this event who saw it much closer than the vantage point in the video and believe me they are still in shock about what they saw and are in absolutely no doubt that it was something extraordinary, so don't close your minds.

They are not areoplanes! They are parachute flares fired from the navy training camp situated on the road behind Dow Corning and Dow Chemical.

They are planes landing at Bristol Airport. I live in Barry and we can see them clearly when it is a clear evening. The lights going down are planes landing and and when they go up they are taking off. When the lights disapear the planes are turning away from you. It was reported in the Gem today that you would expect to hear the planes. I would not expect to hear them form this distance.

Are you sure they weren't flares? They appear out of nowhere, descend very slowly, and then disappear, just like flares being shot up into the sky . Maybe I'm wrong, but we should consider more realistic possibilities before jumping to the conclusion that they are indeed aliens.

Seems like some type of anti-gravity vehicle. In July (Leeds) i saw some thing similar, except it was just one bright light like the north star, it was also extremely high in our atmosphere moving at a very slow speed, until it went away like a shooting star...
