Just ordered my R4 Aurora for £1200. Dell sent out a 50% off voucher to me so I couldnt sniff at it. :) The normal full price being £2550 which Ill have to agree is ludicrous. the price I quote is for the most expensive componants mind you. But with a %50 voucher I may as well get my moneys worth.

@orionkarate for gaming a workstation pc is a stupid idea because the graphics cards arent designed for games so they cost 10 times as much for the same performance as a gaming card, the processors have too many cores running at low clock speeds to efficiently be used for gaming. Its also 10 time s more expensive considering a high quality workstation graphics card costs $4000 ! Hows that for expensive?

Gatta clean up those cables could be causing a short. But on another note, love your ALX. Yes I love my custom PC's, and yes most builds are slightly better in performance, but in reality there is a large percentage of Alienware owners that really don't have the time to be dicking around with a CB. The warranty's from cyberpower and ibuypower don't match up to Dells corporate customer support (Have loved Alienwares lifetime support for years). Buying a retail PC ends up just being the best idea.

@Urstupidumbass Alienware is like another cover for a pc, it has the same specs, nothing fancy inside when you can buy the parts 1/3 of the price total for a custom pc.
Like Antec 1200, that's a whole lot cheaper than Alienware (And you can buy liquid cooling system as well)
In my opinion, I prefer to built my own pc rather than having the factory make it, overclocking it, and customizing it.

@Urstupidumbass i heard somewhere that the airflow inside alienware cases (not sure it was this one) is utter shit, and the guy had to mod the whole case to get it cooled properly, thats where your money is going i guess... :p
