Grikl was one of the 5 players who had an Imperial Apocalypse (5 ships total in the history of eve), that was destroyed during the second wave of attacks of mOo Corp (in an alliance named Curse Alliance) against Stain Alliance. I don't know the fit fot the Thorax, but i've always played amarr :D

I always get confused on who is who in this video. Here's how I think it goes, there are guys at the station ('A' Fleet lets say) already, then another fleet (B Fleet) comes in, so then part of B fleet flies off and meets friends of A fleet (this is C fleet) that jumped through the gate, right? They go to battle and the C fleet beats them and flies to station? then some Russians come in and say it is there system, so are they part of A fleet or B fleet or are they a separate group?

Mean while, B's support fleet wants to go after them, but B fleet's commander says no. B's support fleet defies orders, and goes after A fleet anyways while B fleet's capital ships stayed behind. C fleet jumps in and meets up with what's left of A fleet, rapes the B support fleet, and goes after B's cap fleet.

Then the Russians came, and kills both fleets.

The amount of knowledge and time required to understand and achieve anything impressive in the game is just insane. If the people who played eve put the same amount of effort into advancing the real space program, great things could be achieved in reality. The gameplay also kinda sucks in my opinion, but that will improve I'm sure. Very beautiful game, but a complete waste of time.

@vcatzz the learning curve is steep, the other players will kill you if they can, it will take months till you can kill your first enemy or build your first useful ship / item. This game is not very rewarding in the first months and will consume much time. If you don't know what to do with yourself in the eve universe, then eve won't help you. On the other hand, it leaves you every possibility to get a pirate, an investor, a bankier.. whatever.. and if you have a plan, eve is ready for it.

Call sings are popular at least for Squads in some fleets, mostly for big ones where the Fleet-Commander don't know every single player. Its more like "DPS-Squad" or "Logistics", sometimes even specific Ships like "scout 1" or "tackler 3". But ive seen even complex call-signs in more RP-focused corps. So, nothing impossible, everyone uses it the way it works best.
