The whole point in linking YouTube to a Google account is that Google wants all their user information in one central location managed by one tool. Instead of having some information over here, other information over there and different systems to track all of it.

Google bought YouTube. As with the other online applications they have bought, they are bringing everything under their Google Services banner.

@TylerLav118118 very wrong. The youtube partner ship program is not limited to the size of your audience. My good friend majid was just accepted into the program. he makes tech support videos and only has 500 subscribers.
