I would still credit the scientists for at least trying to find out how the universe was created. They put their hypothesis to the test and if it's wrong they keep trying so another scientist in the next century doesn't need test that hypothesis. I believe in the infinite expansion of the universe from a single point, but I think that this explanation sounds somewhat unbelievable because they are trying to simplify it too much. I mean, I believe in the Big Bang, but they dumbed down the explanation of it WAY too much, to a point where this video actually makes me doubt the theory's veracity.

They put their hypothesis to the test and if it's wrong they keep trying so another scientist in the next century doesn't need test that hypothesis. I believe in the infinite expansion of the universe from a single point, but I think that this explanation sounds somewhat unbelievable because they are trying to simplify it too much. I mean, I believe in the Big Bang, but they dumbed down the explanation of it WAY too much, to a point where this video actually makes me doubt the theory's veracity.

This does not violate mass/energy conservation because, on macrocosmic scales, the overall mass/energy content remains constant. Particles also simply disappear, or wink out of existence, to make up for those that come to. Or, those that appear abruptly vanish when their work is done. Also, google how are protons and neutrons made and there's your answer.
