When I bought my panasonic S2 (neo-phosphers, if you sell tvs im sure you know which one), and it looked like shit in the store compared to even some lcds hahah, i brought the bitch home an my jaw dropped. i have a fairly dark room and noticed that my old lcd had rather greyish darks due to the contrast ratio.

@souperman12345 if you are 5 feet back from a 60 inch 1080p TV it will look the same if you are 2 feet away from a 22 Inch 1080P Monitor.

if you got really close to the screen you would see the quality is degraded on the 60 inch TV. but because you want to look at the whole screen at once. you don't ever want to sit 2 feet away from a 60 inch television. thus you will never see the degraded quality.

Its a physics principle.

resolutions past 1080P is pointless as far as TV's and monitors go.
